I was a little over 19 when I had my first boy. For me, it was the perfect age, though I realize everyone has different ideal ages. My next one is going to be in about 2 years hopefully. That is, if my guy gets his vasectomy reversed.... Who knows? I'm definitely adopting either way.

i'm 25 then when i had my first baby..i think it's the right time for a woman will have a baby, and i wanted to have a baby with that age..i don;t want to have a baby in my 30's because in that age it's difficult to have a baby and it's a risky age of having a baby..

I was 23 when I had my son. It was the ideal age for me. It's not the right age for everyone, though. When I got pregnant, we were ready to be parents. We were married, had stable jobs, and were emotionally mature enough to handle it. Some people aren't ready at that age, though. Some people need more time to grow up. Others are ready before they are 23, too. It really differs for each person.

I was 30 when my first child was born. For man, It was a good age to have a child, having an established career, stable financial background helps.
For women, 30 may be a tad late to have first child.

Hi i was 20 years old. I turned 21 just over 3 months later.I think that was a ok age. But i think i could of been a littl older to handle money better. We were poor and made wrong choices. Now that i am older i see we did dumb choices. I think maybe 25 or so weould be ok.

I started a discussion about this - great minds think alike! I was 36 - I'm now 37 and he's ten months. Some believe that youth insures energy for the child - which I disagree with - some younger people are more out of shape and unhealthy than those twice their age.
Some people think that the older you are the wiser and more patient you're. Which I disagree with as well. Some young people are wiser and more patient then those twice their age.
I don't think age defines a person, therefore, I believe the ideal age to have your first child is when you're truly ready - financially, emotionally and spiritually.
Great topic.

26 years. I think the ideal age for having a first child is between 25 to 30. Beyond that it will be too late.We need to bring up our children this is better possible when you are young. Your children will be standing on their own feet by the time you reach your retirement stage. I have seen many people who have reached 50 and there children still going to school. One can support children better in youth rather than old age.
