Has anyone ever experienced finding a mouse in a sock or any other strange place in your home or in your clothes? I was having breakfast with my parents this morning and my parents told me about how my dad was putting on his sock after it went through the washer and dryer. When he was putting on the sock he found a dead mouse in his sock. Apparently the mouse was alive in the sock before going through the washer and dryer. My mom did not notice the mouse in his sock before putting it and the other clothes in the machine. What would you do if this happened to you? Do you pay attention to what is in your clothes when doing laundry?

No, I don't pay attention to clothes that I toss in the machine either.
My best mouse story is our cartoon mouse. We could hear the mouse in the walls and in the attic doing normal mouse stuff. After a week, the sound went away. Everytime we walked past my husbands chair, I told him that there was an odor and asked if he had bad gas. He said no, so he check the trash can for anything smelly and that wasn't it. The smell wasn't constant, just occassionally. Finally, we turned his chair over which is a recliner and there smashed beneath the base was the mouse flattened into the carpet. The best we can figure is that my hubby leans forward in his chair and the base lifts up, so the mouse must of been running from one room to the next when WHAM, his lights when out with my hubbys killer instinct to knock out vermin. ha ha

Once when I was a kid we were moving my Mom's dressar and took the bottom drawers out and there was a whole nest of baby mice under the drawer. I convinced her to put them outside rather than kill them.

Hello kgwat70.
Ewwww! Those are the type of "beings" that I really don't like. No exaggeration, I really scream and run when I see those. I haven't experienced finding them in socks! yuck!!. I have a friend though who, one time, found a few little baby white mice when she put her hand inside the pocket of the jacket that she just put on!! Yuck! Maybe the mother mouse gave birth inside the pocket! It's so gross and yucky!!

I am not scare of the mouse but just do not want them running around in my home. I would hate to step on one and squash it and make a mess. I think I would be quite shocked if I found one in my socks. Hopefully I will not see anymore mice in my home.

Well, that is just so sad. I will make sure to check my clothes from now on to see if there is anything on them before washing them. I never have experience that before. I should definitely watch out for anything in my laundry now.

I could hardly believe such a thing. What a shock for poor ol' dad. I'm afraid my heart would have gave out. I don't wear socks thank goodness. Take Care.

We had a mouse problem at the old daycare I used to work at. There was a mouse causing us all kinds of problems. I made Valentine art one year and we glued candies to a heart. I came in the next morning to find all the candy eaten, as well as most of the construction paper hearts. It would also get into my desk somehow, and I have no idea how. There wasn't a hole and it stayed locked. Nothing was safe. We finally caught it, but many supplies and art were destroyed in it's path.:P
