I always rate the one who start a discussion I participate in and people who respond to discussions or replies I posted. But I don't give plus or minus to others. Well, sometimes I gave - if someone post trash ie. For a question: "How can I [something you want to know in here]" they write "Don't know". And how about you? Do you reate all the peoplewho participate in the same discussion you do or just a few?

After I've read the DRS (Discussion Rating System), I rated all response as a way to respect to member's participation to my posted discussion; for their time spending, input effort and thoughts giving. Regardless of their words and sentences. Positive or negative reaction responses, it will not bother me, because we are in open discussion session where everybody is freely to put in their insight, tactical and strategy.
Be Best For All.

My policy is not to support spammers:P maybe I'm talking too much about it in here so it may look I only wait to give someone (-) but it's not about that. I just can't compare a good, thoughtful answer to something like "yes you r":/ I think users who posts like this need to know that they should try harder to post something better and that's why I rate them (-).

I do ratings for everything I do. I'll even rate posts if I'm not going to reply to the discussion. I just like to do it actually. I haven't rated anyone negatively yet. I will just not rate that one at all. I have reported a few posts that were just horrible, in language and content.

I would feel awful if I didn't report the bad ones. I think if someone is just trying to get some posts in but can't think of anything good to say I just won't rate them instead of giving them a negative. Sometimes it's hard to think of something to say.

If they are contributing its + for them. If they contribute to my threads it + for them. If its a dumb one line or a "don't know" then I do nothing. I try to rate what I can, but it does get overwhelming same as responding to many friends threads.

True, but remember some people abuse - Pompon.
Especially if a member gives another member a royal textual smackdown. Some people just can't handle being wrong. Others cant handle a different viewpoint.

I have never given a negative rating here. If I'm not so satisfied with their response, then I don't rate them at all. I only give positive ratings to posts and responses which I think are interesting and of high quality.

Except those responses which are totally meaningless, 99% of the responses are rated [+]. AFter all every is trying to earn money and everyone is trying to do their best. Why disappoint. But I see a lot of newbies do not know all these and many of my responses do not get rated, inspite of they writing that it is the good response etc.

I always rate the responders to my discussions. I also rate the ones that I respond to. Occasionally, I rate others who respond also. I rarely give (-)

I rate everyone, the one who starts the discussion and the members who respond to my discussion. I always rate everyone as positive, because I myself is very positive in my approach and hope everyone is like that only.

You have some interesting point to make, I agree with you. I understand that you wish to say...everyone should not be rated or marked at the same scale?

Okay, but that's not always fair you know? That my seem like a nice thing but some people give a topic a thought at get plus and some people just write anything and they got plus for their reputation as well... i would feel sad for all the good mylotters if I rated such answer +

I make sure I rate the starter of the discussion I'm responding and most of the time some other respondents too specially those who are on my friends list..I seldom give a negative rate though.
Though we mylotters differ in our opinions and in what we believe I still don't think it's a basis to give them negative..
And I might forgot!... all those who respond to my discussion I rate them all too.

Hi there Pompon,
If someone responds to my discussion and it is a "real" answer even if I totally disagree I will rate them +. BUT if someone comes to my discussion and only writes one sentences like your example "don't know" then I won't rate them at all. If someone comes to my discussion being abusive then I report it.

So you're one of many mylotters who dont cknowledge the existance of (-) button:P I think it's usefull sometimes just to point a user that his replies are going nowhere. Still there are some replies which I don't like because they seem sensless to me but if they're not oneliners I do not rate them - because I see effort that someone put in them. And the fact I don't see the point may bee by my side^_^'''

As much as possible, I try to rate as much as I could. Especially for those who have a lower rating. But, if I come across a response that is composed of only two words, I don't even bother rating them.
For every discussions I respond to, I always rate them. And if there are just a few responses to it, then I also rate those. When it comes to my discussions, I always give a positive rating for those who have responded.

Recently I put up a topic about my lost text while I was making discussion. One of the answers was "Yes you r"-_- I have no regtrets marking (-) posts like that. Seriously... And that's true. sometimes I see people who write really nice postsa nd when I see their low rating I'm like "why?" So i go to their profile and check their and I rate them plus when I feel they deserve that. if not I just leave it as it is and don't makr them...

It's really annoying when someone answers like that.
For those that you were talking about, some were unfortunately been deliberately marked negative by some users, for personal reasons. I have come across some great posts and yet, they have a low rating. So, I try to help by giving them a positive rating and going through their other discussions and giving those a positive rating, too.

you should rate people as often as you can. After a while it will become a habit, you'll see. Ranking help people feel apreciated and may profit with more money they earn for the post but remember not to support spammers who don't add anything to discussion;)

I always rate people started discussions I participate in and people who respond to the discussions I start like you.
I also rate response of people I like even if I don't participate in that discussions and I don't add a comment.
I usually rate posts positively and only if they are very bad I rate them negatively.

Actually, there are the reasons to rate some people negative here. Maybe you didn't have to put up with this kind of people who just jumping from thread to thread, droping onelines that don't add nothing to discussion jut to have another point. The should be punished for sapmming like that and marking them positive would be unfair for all good mylotters who don't participate in discussion when they have nothing interesting to add:/

most of the time i forget to give the rating to a discussion i am responding to, but when i remember to, i usually give a + if i like the topic of the discussion.
but i always remember to give + rating when mylotters give serious replies to my discussions and a - rating if they come up with extremely stupid replies that piss me off, or if they argue just for the sake of argument.

You shuold start ating people posts. It helps mylot and theusers, because the better reputation you have the ore money you make for each post. So we shold help those who write good posts and don't help those who don't add anything to discussion (that means if only thing they write as a reply is "hello" "how are you?" and other urelated things). And there's ! for those post who are abusing rules;)
