I cant stand how college classes require you to purchace online software programs that you have to use to do homework assignments that count towards your grade. College with tuition, housing, and book expences is costly enough, and now just to make things more convienent for the grader and teacher they expect you to buy these programs that are quite expensive.
For a computer class I am currently taking at UCF we had to buy a program called SAM2007. It cost $60 and we had to get it in order to take our test on the program. Well it turns out that the SAM company is having so many difficulties that we cannot even use this software for our test and were given an alternate Paper forme of test. Now I am out $60 for a program that is worthless to me and cant even be sold back because of a registration code.
All these colleges have websites for web assignments and differnt things that they can set up for any class, why cant they just all use the colleges WebCT or whatever free software that is already avalible it is rediculous. Its not like the money is going back to the college. Although the software we have to get might be helpful and quite educational it is not like the teacher cant just do their job at being helpful and educational
Oh Well!
Is anyone else dealing with these annoying class software programs.

I went to a community college and we didn't have to buy any extra software to do homework or tests. I wouldn't like having to do that. I agree that the cost of going to college is expensive enough and that should be included in that cost.

I did when I was in college. At first I'm sure I put down near $1000 in programs. Then some of them won't let you upgrade but you have to buy the new software. Yippee -_-
