Who's going to win the world cup in your view? England or South Africa i'd like to say England as i am English but ive said i thought South Africa would win it from the start they have looked the strongest to me all through the tournament.

Though I haven't been keeping up seriously, I do hope England gets it somehow. Plus I do like supporting friends. The deck might be stacked but anything can happen.

I think England's chances are now good - now that Johny Wilkinson is back in the game. He was out of action when South Africa won in the group stages and since he's returned to the squad, he's really made a difference. I think he can repeat the same feat he did 4-years ago.
On the other hand, its not wise to write-off the Springbooks. South Africa is Rugby Mad and the level in that squad is unquestionable.

yeah johny wilkinson has started to show form again but is still missing kicks that he didnt before, South Africa look really strong i think its going to be a close game we definately need to keep the rugby ball away from that speedy guy not sure what his name is but hes really fast and dangerous.

England have a tradition of great goal kickers. Who can forget Simon Hodgkinson and Johnathan Webb who played in Will Carling's multi-grandslam winning squads?
I think the World Cup may actually be won or lost on Johny Wilkinson's form. If he's kicking like a dream, then England will do it....if not....South Africa will probably win the day. I mean nothing wrong with Johny Wilkinson - unlike David Beckham, he actually kicks accurately and does not blame the pitch when he does not. However, rugby is a team game and you cannot pin your hopes on a single player. Look at the All Blacks who used to pin all their hopes of Jonah Lomu.
