What do you splurge on for yourself?

I like to get my hair done, as you can tell in the photo I'm not good at fixing it myself. So, I've started treating myself to going to the beauty salon every 6 weeks. What kinds of things do you do for yourself? Do you get manicures, pedicures, go to the spa, belong to a health club or anything else that makes you feel better about yourself?

I wish I could afford to splurge out on myself sometimes but I do tend to allow myself little treats when cash flow permits. I tend to treat myself to books or dvds though, so I can enjoy them over and over again

Usually the only way I splurge on myself is to get a DVD movie, or a CD of music or even a book I've been wanting to get...I never really think of splurging by going to a spa or getting a manicure..do my own nails and hair anyway...LOL

I do a lot of things for myself! (Because I am worth it!!!) I take bubble baths often; every so often I buy a brand new best selling book; about every other month I do go to the beauty salon and get a shampoo when I get my hair trimmed. My next thing is to go get a massage to ease my aching neck!

Hi,
I splurge on getting my nails done. As you can probly see in the photo, I too do my hair (not my real color).
It's kind of a joke around my house, what color this month. :)

If I have the money , I like to dine out in a fancy restaurant. I like to try out other dishes from other country. Also I like to go spas for massage. It is so relaxing after all days work. I also love to treat my hair, as my hair is always dry so it needs to be treated. I do not splurge on clothes though.

Hello Sherry12,
Nice to visit with you again. Hmmm, well let me see ... I'm not much for beauty treatments. I much prefer to make my own masks & moisturizers at home. A haircut is rather an annoyance for me. The smell of nail 'stuff' in salon's brings me near the point of passing out, most times. So, all in all, I tend to avoid salon's like the plague. I do, however, enjoy a good massage from time to time.
A nice yoga session always makes me feel 'right as rain', and putting on my Katherine Hepburn hat to go work out in the garden never fails to ground and center me. But, if I really want to splurge ... really splurge ... I usually buy myself a new rock. Yup, I'm a rock-hound from way back. I'm terribly fond of the sparkly, faceted variety. I can't say that it makes me feel better about myself, but it sure does brighten my day. For example: I just recently purchased a 14mm round, gem quality, faceted, organic, light-green amber specimen. This piece is a real anomoly in nature. It's simply not suppposed to exist -- yet it does. And, now it's in my collection. And, it looks perttty enough to eat. Though, it probably wouldn't go down very well.

Hi Sherry! If I had the money I would have a massage done. I had one several years ago when I visited my sister in florida. It was great. I would also get a pedicure and manicure. Oh what the heck I would like to have the works done!LOL

The only thing I do for myself is to go out hiking in the woods. It cleanses my mind and soul.

Chocolate. Everytime I feel I need to be pampered I buy myself a candybar, I used to buy a whole bag and eat it all down, now I just buy 1 candybar and no more. It satifies my need for chocolate (I'm a chocoholic lol) and I dont gain a ton of weight. -Amber

I'm not much into spending money for my own, I'd share it as much as possible. The only habit I can't shake away was too much sharing, with family and even friends. If I am good to go, I'd treat them in every way I can think of.
Sometimes I can only spend money on clothes or personal needs, accessories or food I would love to try and taste.

If I can afford it, I will usually splurge on getting my nails done. It is nice to have a pedicure and manicure done. Sometimes I will splurge on getting my hair done or colored. Right now, I have had to for go any of those because I am trying to save as much as I can for the holidays and my trip to go back home.

I haven't been able to splurge on myself in a very long time, but my splurge is always body spray and bubble bath. I love going to bath & body works and getting a bunch of different bubble baths and body sprays. I have a bunch of body sprays still (6 bottles, I believe), but I've been out of bubble bath for about a year. It sucks muchly, but eventually I'll be able to get more and it'll all be good.

i would usually go for spa. Enjoying relaxing minutes at the sauna and jacuzzi, then for a full body massage. Get rid of those stressful and tense muscles. Sometimes I go get my feet cleanup at the salon, though I'm thankful that my household helper can do hand and feet cleaning, I never did liked putting paints in my nails.
Sometimes going to dinner buffet on hotels will be a nice way to splurge also.
