In Chinese tradition, people will hand out egg which is colored red in its shell to friends and relatives to celebrate the newborn baby, especialy the boys. Are there any other traditions of this kind in your culture? I'll be very happy to share it with you. :D

Painted Easter eggs - We take these eggs and knock their tips one on another (two different persons, each with his own egg) and say the traditional lines that may be translated as "Christ Resurrected!" and the other one answers "Truly He has Resurrected!".
In Romania we paint eggs on Easter (That is the Resurrection of Jesus), mainly in red, but usually with painted models. It comes from the legend that a woman placed a basket of eggs under the cross upon which He was crucified, and His blood dripped on the eggs and turned them red. We take these eggs and knock their tips one on another (two different persons, each with his own egg) and say the traditional lines that may be translated as "Christ Resurrected!" and the other one answers "Truly He has Resurrected!".
