Do you believe in Life after Death?

I have often wondered if true believers really believe that there's something beyond our grave, our death. I say this because well i've sometimes felt the necessity to believe in that as well, maybe i still do. But i am not sure if it's due to my beliefs, or to my necessity to think that all that i am just vanishes in a second and that's it, you don't exist anymore but in a few people's memories. I think that this is the basis of most religions, people's necessity to find a meaning to their lives, and also to their deaths. However, i would like you all to enlighten me in this aspect and express your disagreements if you feel like it. Thanks on advance
