Time to laugh at me and also with me

Ok here's the deal. I've had a lot of good times here on myLot and some not so good times and times when I've had to ask for prayer requests and for the most part I believe I have made some very dear and sincere friends here. The only regret is I will probably never get to meet any of you. That does however help in allowing me to let you have a good laugh. Here goes. I will be 57 in December so it's no wonder I wear false teeth, you'll like this. I have had some problems lately with cold sores on my lips, something I hardly ever get but suddenly I got two. The inside of my mouth was sore too on the bottom and it hurt to wear my bottom plate so while at home I kept my bottom teeth out for a couple of days. Well on Monday morning I woke up to realize I was missing my bottom teeth. I thought for sure because I wore them to bed in the night sometime they must have been hurting me and either fell out or I took them out not knowing. Well I looked for hours, not in my bed and nowhere to be found. I had to go to the post office to mail a parcel because I had sold something on ebay. Well now I'm mad No Teeth GRRrrr. I finally said, never mind what I said, I just went to the post office and the post master said to me, "Oh you look tired today and you not feling well today ?" I simply said yes I was tired but thought yeah yeah you noticed. Well I got through that and I got home and I looked till almost the time my hubby came home from work. I wasn't sure how to tell him I had lost my teeth. I have just had them replaced a year ago and they were 1,200.00 for a set. Well Finally I went to get my Maltese for a bath. My dog has a pet carrier that works as a bed and just a place to go rest. Well I bent down to pick up my puppy to see my teeth in the bed and a dog looking at me like, "OH OH I'm busted." Thank God the dog didn't chew my teeth and in case you're wondering NO I didn't tell hubby. Take Care. Happy chuckles guys. hehehehe

That is funny. Here is a funny story about false teeth. My hubby had false teeth too. He also lost them one night, he didn't like me to see him without his teeth. When he woke up he was all worried about them. I told him not to worry, I knew where they were. I told him when I rolled over in bed, they bit me in the butt. LOL. I also would love to meet some of our mylot friends, but in reality I know that is almost impossible. Here is some more info, when you sell something on ebay, you can print up and pay for postage and then order pick up for the package. You never have to leave your home. You can do it all online.

Oh, I am so glad you found them. I am sure you cleaned them off really well. As someone told me, "You should not tell the whole world here on myLot". The doggie knew he did not want those things in his mouth. Is it possible that they just got knocked off your night stand or something?

This is what I think happened. I had been having trouble with cold sores and sore gums and normally I sleep with my dentures in and No problem. Because there was a problem I think I lost them in the bed and every morning before my husband leaves for work he puts the dog on my bed and the dog likely found these teeth not knowing what they were and packed them off.

I had a feeling it might have been the dog! Probably dropped them on the ground by your bed in the middle of the night and the pooch ran off with them. I know my dogs probably would have shredded them. I'm glad you found them, you could consider that the dog was keeping them safe for you, so you wouldn't step on them!

Are you living MY life, or what? We have much in common, tho I wish I was still ONLY 57! And my grandchild count is six!
My pup is a Rat Terrier, and in my case it was my glasses... the ear pieces are being filed on a daily basis to try to get all the tiny tooth-marks out of them! I just needed a little nap, she just needed a new toy!

Well that is one expensive "chew" toy. No pun intended! I would find a good hiding place for them or your little friend may find them again and really do a number on them. I can see the look on the dog's face now! And on yours. LOL!

OMG that is soooooooooo funny, i don't know what dogs like about false teeth but this has happened before ,not to me but to my Moms friend..We laughed until our sides hurt..My mom had a friend over and she spent the night, well she had a partial, and when she went to bed she pulled out the partial and put it on the bedside table..Well the next morning her partial was gone..My mom and her friend looked all over Moms house, no partial in site..Moms friend was so upset but decided oh well i will not let this ruin my day...A long story short, later that day they were visiting and drinking coffee and Mom walks into her bedroom and there sits her black poodle in the middle of the bed with those teeth hanging out of his mouth..We could not stop laughing about that..My dog has never done that but she will grab my hubbys socks or my house shoes ,and one time a pair of my panties ,only later i locate then inside her carrier where she sleeps at night...Dogs are known to grab things you have and hide them...This was so funny ..thank you for the laugh I needed that, and it also reminded me of what happened at Moms house..have a great day...and watch the teeth LOL!

Oh that was a great story. My dog would have chewed them to pieces for sure. She chews on everything. Especially the cat. I bet your husband would think it was a pretty funny story. Once he knew they weren't ruined.

Wow. A $1200.00 dog toy. It's a good thing that he was gentle with it. Some dogs would have chewed them beyond recognition. You might want to guard them, coz next time, he might decide to chew them up. lol

oh.... Your dog must of picked them up... hehehe... You must have been going out of your mind looking for them though.... Both my parents have false teeth and I don't like it very much to see them without them, They speak funny without them too... You must have felt uncomfortable without them and would have been pleased when you finally found them too..... I hope you washed them well, along with your sweet pet dog.... :) Thanks for the smile.....

while i can see the humor i also have a great deal of empathy with you as I seldom wear my dentures to bed and if I forget and do i usually find the on or under my pillow, the worst for me was always loosing my glasses, I tried to always put them in the same place but of course I would think I will remember, and then spend a few hours looking for glasses, now at least I don't have to do that any more, but old habits die hard and every morning I go into the bathroom and look for my glasses, and then remember you do not need them , my new lenses are taking a few days to settle in and it still feels a bit odd, but that will disappeared soon, along with the glasses lol
good to hear from you again

This is really funny, Grandmaof2! Good thing you found them! My top front bridge which I got three years ago are now too loose, so I have to make sure I get some Fixodent on them before I leave the house. This one time I was running late and could not be bothered, because I had to go on an offer (I sell houses). Anyway, to cut a long story short, I was in the middle of a very serious negotiation and my front teeth decided to fall right on top of the agreement of purchase and sale! I was so embarrassed! It did break the tension and after blushing several degrees of maroon I got the danged thing back into my mouth. We did make the deal. I think my falling dentures helped!

Well what would have been funnier was if she was trying to put them on lol. Not that that is possible, but I just had this fleeting vision of your little maltese wearing false teeth hahahaha! That is funny that your pup took your choppers! Good thing you found them and had a good laugh about it. I wouldn't tell hubby either lol.

I did finally tell hubby. I had a shock he got an estimate on Friday to see what new teeth would cost him because he gets some back on his insurance from work. They quoted him over 1,800.00 so the price has gone up a lot. Take Care.
