I only use both ceiling lights and lamps in my apartment on campus.Ceiling lights were equipped by the school and lamps were bought by ourselves.After the electricity is cut down by school at 23:00,we'll use lamps to continue studying.

As for me i use ceiling lights,but when i have to write something i use lamps.I prefer the ceiling light.

We have ceiling lights at our home.. We don't use lamps to light our house.. Its only me who uses the lamp and that too only on my study table... We have installed cfl bulbs all around our house, becoz they are very economical and energy efficient as well...

we have ceiling lights and when we sleep we use lamp light. we use ceiling lights specially when my kids are doing their homework.

We use ceiling lights in all rooms in our own apartment. But in my apartment on campus, I don't have ceiling lights but only lamps as this is equipped by the school. There is no need for me to fix it. hehe

We have fluorescent ceiling lights at home. We used it in the living room, kitchen, bed room, and other rooms.
We used lamps for emergency purposes only like if there is no electricity or if it is brownout for a short period of time.
