If you were stuck in an elevator for two days with someone, would you rather it be someone who talks too much or someone who won't talk at all?

If I were stuck in an elevator with someone, then that would be a great advantage to me. It is boring if you were stuck alone without someone to talk to. In this case, you will not feel bored and you will be able to enjoy yourself talking to someone else while waiting for the elevator to open. With regards to your question, I would choose to talk rather than being silence at all. Have a nice day and God speed!

I would prefer to be stuck with someone who talks too much. Talking would keep your mind of the situation at hand. If you were in the elevator with someone who didn't talk your mind would wander and fear would set in.

I prefer to be with someone who will talk to me. Its because for me it will lessen the tension and the fear that I feel inside me. I would probably fear if the one that I am with inside the elevator would not say something and pretend that nothing was wrong and still feel comfortable inside the elevator. I would really be scared of him/her lols!

That would depend on what mood that I'm in at that moment. If I'd already had my fill of blabbermouths for the day, I'd say, the quiet peson. If I had been with quiet people all day, I might want to be with the blabbermouth. I'm not sure, I might even be the blabbermouth in the situation. lol One thing's for sure, if we were in there for 2 days, the elevator would be stinking.

Someone who won't talk at all. People who talk non-stop tend to annoy me, so the idea of being stuck with such a person would be... not pleasant.

Great question. I actually liked the response the one poster had about being stuck with someone who could get them out. Personally, I would have to say someone that talks too much. When I get nervous, I tend to talk, so it would be nice to have someone to talk with. I think that silence would make my nerves much worse.

I think I'd rather be with someone who talks too much, but then only if the talk were pleasant. A silent pleasant person wouldn't be too bad either...really, it depends on the person.

I would rather prefer someone with food inside the elevator. Lol. But i used to do the talking so i will choose someone who won't talk so she or he can just listen to what i will saying.

What only two choices! I would prefer someone who talked, but not too much.. But that's not the option :-) So I would have to go for somebody who didn't talk at all - then I would simply sit on the floor in silent meditation until somebody came along and got us out of there :-)

Hmmm.. that would depend. Do I have a working cell phone, Blackberry and/or laptop with me?? lol If I do, then I'd prefer them to be relatively quiet so I can talk on the phone and do stuff online.. and try to get someone to get in there and rescue us so we wouldnt have to be in there for 2 days!! Yikes!! ...in most cases, I'd like to be left alone a lot of the time to read. when I get bored, I'll make him talk.. I can make people talk..lol if we had to be in there 2 days though, I'd actually, really not care if they talked a whole lot at all.. I'd much rather they be hot, have some sort of food and/or water on them, and a bottle for us to use for 'personal emergencies" than worry about how much they talk LOL

well my friend this is hard but i would have to say someone who is more on the quiet side because i am listening to noise all the time with my kids yelling, screaming etc.so the quitness would be nice for a change and if i wanted the person to talk i would try to start up a conversation.hugs.pattie

This is extreme situation and all of us can react extremely. So i prefer somebody who talks, but also who doesnt loose his control completely and have adequate and fast thinking.

What an interesting question. Two days? both would get tiring. What came to mind when you asked this, is what no one talks about when you hear of this happening. I'd be on the silly thing 2 hours and then I'd need a bathroom. What in the world do they do? And what if it was crowded. I can't think of anything worse to happen!

I'd rather it be someone who talks too much. I can always force them to be quiet. I don't know if I could force someone to actually talk. Not talking would make the time go by more slowly, and I'd have more time to think how things could possible go wrong in an elevator waiting for help.

Just so long as they don't panic/faint or have a baby! I had a friend stuck on an elevator full of people for 30 minutes with a panicing, fainting, pregnant lady. She informed us that if she never saw her again it'd be too soon.

For two days? Yikes I would have the screaming meemies...LOL...I don't have a phobia about being stuck in an elevator, but I sure wouldn't like it...and as far as being stuck with someone..I'd think I would want a fairly quiet person rather than a chatterbox..that would only make me more nervous I think.
