Hi, gamers, do you think that the games online are only and really games online? I mean theese games what include more contacts between the players then just to sit and play with computer enemy. Do you think that in theese games we can really only relax or there is moment in each of us when we are addicted and accept the virtual situations too literaly? We become aggressive, sacrify our good sleeping, hate our online enemies and all theese symptoms... Do we allways know where is the slim line between game and reality?

as an online gamer myself I admit that there was a time in my life where in Ive become so addicted to online games that I even sacrifice my time just to play. I could remember those times when I would not sleep for 3 days straight just to play and sometimes i even skip meals. But all these bad habits has stopped when I started to have pimples. Since that Im used to having a clear skin having pimples is a nightmare. then by that time I fully decided to control myself it was a hard thing to do at first but due to a constant discipline i was able to overcome these and finally all my pimples are gone...lol

i play a bunch of different online games and all of them deal with human interaction more than gameplay to be honest. they are like real life just without getting out of bed!

Some people DON'T know the line they are walking, and some people are addicted to games. I play an online game and I love it. But if the phone rings or my dogs need a walk, I can turn the game off. At the same time, I have made friends playing online games and chat with them on IM or email, and think of them as real friends. Now my husband, he can play games until the break of dawn and not know what time it is. He can play for an entire weekend and forget to feed the dogs, or even himself because he can get so engrossed in his games. I don't know what would happen if I wasn't here sometimes to demand he stop playing. It's very scary! THAT'S addiction!

Well some of it is social networking. I made some good friends on several servers and on both factions with Warcraft. Plenty of fun. But yes there were times sleep wasn't an option and other times real life had been put aside. There are still people that play like that in order to be the best or at least try to be the best they can be in game. I agree though, there should be some limits and some people do take games way too seriously. You should see some of the crybabys on PVP(Person vs Person) servers. Then there are people who freak out because PVE(Player vs Environment/regular gameplay) doesn't go right. I mean there are even youtube videos of people acting nuts all over a game. I think a little restraint and a little jovial interaction between the players is good and could really make some of the games enjoyable.

i used to paly an online game nearly 18 hours a day for a month.i admit tat i had really addicted to that game.i played it just for relax at first, but i became crasy for money and items in the game.though i made friends in the game and communicated with others a lot,but i do not think that is the life style i want... i feel i was more tired but not relaxed,so i quit the game quickly.as we know, mant gamers lost themselves in the online game,i just want to tell them that the game is not the real life.your life is not in the games.

Games we play are for fun. we should not get over addicted.play them but not to waste time behind them.games are games where we can make mistake and again clear it or correct it while playing..but in reality there is no such chance to make correction.games do leave some effect on us,but we are the one who should adopt whats right n whats wrong..i play intensively shooting games and play much.but they aren't real i know that.

I consider myself a pro gamer. I refuse to fail at any server I enter and over time this has become my olympic sport. I get a lot of stick from people who say they live in the real word and play real sports like foot ball. How do they know? who do they think they are to judge what i consider sport? I think its just jealousy because i get to sit in a nice chair in my warm house doing my sport while they are outside in the winter trying to kick some balls... Yes games get addictive but its the same for anyone who plays football they get addicted to winning the game right. Skill based games is what its all about FPS games im talking about because its no longer about entertainment from a shooter game for me. Now its about how good my aim is, how quick it am in the game and using my brain for tactics the whole time. Its just like playing chess but you get to be one of the figurs.
