I loved when the mini skirts came out and have to admit even though I'm 60 and their not really in fashion I still wear my skirts on the shorter side. I always loved the mini skirt with boots look. My favorite boots were thigh high and looked awesome with a mini skirt. I never got into the micro mini because I thought that was going a little too far!
Have you ever noticed how fashions tend to come back every few years? That generation of kids think their starting something new and I have to laugh. Bell bottoms have been around about 3 times and I finally said the heck with it and have been wearing them forever....in style or not I love them.
What was your favorite fashion craze? Are you a fashion minded person or you don't care what's in style and wear whatever you want?

Loose T-shirt and jeans pent for the boys and for the girl the skirts and T-shirts is my favourite dress code. I myself feel comfortable in a T-shirt and jens pent. I prefer to wear the sports shoes as they make me comfortable. For girls the T-shirts are very nice and if the body structure permits jeans or skirts would be the best thing.
I personally believe, that the fashion is what we accept. I won't wear a dress in which I am not comfortable.

You and I are of the same generation so yup...loved the mini-skirts..and yes "kids" think that their fashion crazes are new but almost all fashion is based on former ones..not long ago, in my local Walgreen's they were selling t-shirts...but not just any old style...Tie-dyed ones ..did that ever take me back--oh and boots! I used to be a real boots nutcase in my younger days
I'm not really a fashion minded person now...the only thing I have a collection of when they first came out where the "broomstick" type skirts..they're kind of long and I love them
Trip down memory lane...it wasn't only the mini..but remember the midi skirt too?? LOL

You wouldn't believe how many tie dyed tee shirts I own and some I made myself. They look great with my jeans with the holes in the knees...lol...Sometimes I like wearing the long skirts too and I did like that look with boots.

I like retro 1950s. A person can have fun with poodle skirts or go for really sophisticated looks.
I usually just wear jeans and a t-shirt. Usually I have to wear whatever my job says I have to wear. So I have a closet of all kinds of work clothes because of temporary services. One day they call you up for warehouse, the next secretarial, the next food demonstrator, all three take different clothes. Take care and fun topic!

In the early nineties do you remember those mid irff tops that girls were wearing. They showed your belly button and the shoulders came down to the top of your arms. Bad craze! Plus I don't have a belly button so it didn't do much for showing off my tummy. Have you noticed that teenagers today have mullets?

A good post. Nice to hear that you like fashion. Me too, I always like to be fashionable. I wish I should die with and in fashion. What is life.? This is an eternal truth. One should have all experiences, both good and bad. What do you say? I like shorts very much. I like ladies wearing shorts but suggest them to know the culture of a city before wearing them.
Yes..every fashion is taking a cycle and coming back to us. We have seen many fashions and dresses and they are now coming as ultra modern dresses.

I love the flapper look of the 20's for women and the trenchcoat and fedora look of the 40's for men.I love that the flapper was showing a little more skin, they started with the shorter skirts. And they wore their short. It looked great. And men look great in trenchcoats and fedoras.

I used to be very much into fashion, ctry, and one of my favorites was the maxi. I bought a navy blue maxi coat that I really liked a lot. I never thought the bell bottoms would keep coming back as they have. They were also one of my favorites. I've seen so many styles come and go that I probably could write a book on the subject, lol. I wore the mini skirts the first time they came out, but I did not care for them so much the next time around.

I always wanted to wear a miniskirt but I don't have the legs for it they are short and chubby :( about the only thing that looks good on me is long pants that are not flared or peg legged just boot cut. Which is ok with me I like to wear boot cut I guess I could always go for the short flared kinda skirts those might look good? I will have to go shopping and try one on! :) -Amber
