No, I don't think Filipino doctors are incompetent. But regarding the Desperate Housewives comment, I believe ABC has issued an apology over it.

I am not Filipino so I can't really answer your question. But I don't think that any harm was intended by the statement, so in that aspect, yes I think the apology is adequate.

I haven't watch the video clip yet but for sure it send rage to the Filipino community. No one in this world have the right to insult nor degrade anyone because he or she belongs to this or that race. Or she or he is like this or like that. Each one of us deserves respect and acceptance for what we are.

I am a Filipino, and I am a nurse. Some Filipino doctors are incompetent, but incompetent doctors definitely would not enter any other country unless they become competent. Why? A medical practitioner first has to pass a board exam of the country where he wants to practice in order to have a license and work there. With the kind of questions countries give on their exams so that a doctor can practice in their country, I don't think someone can pass it unless he is really, really competent. So if a Filipino doctor is say, in America, then he definitely is very smart.
