Truth about Bill Clinton's Comments about Hillary.

Former President Bill Clinton has made several false comments about his former first lady. I have decided as a resident of Arkansas and someone who has had to endure the Clintons' for a couple of decades. I have decided to render some light to the lies being spewed out by the former President. Bill says: Hillary never wanted to run for public office, but she did want to work at public service. The true facts are: When Clinton was considering not running for another term as Governor of Arkansas in 1990, Hillary said she would run if he didn't. She and Bill even had me take two surveys to assess her chances of winning. The conclusion was that she couldn't win because people would just see her as a seat warmer for when Bill came back licking his wounds after losing for president. So she didn't run. Bill did and won. But there is no question she had her eye on public office, as opposed to service, long ago. Bill says: In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor. The true facts are: Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal. Bill says: Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids. The true facts are: Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party. She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him. Bill says: Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers. The true facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam and only passed the Arkansas bar. She had no job offers in Arkansas and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She only joined the prestigious Rose Law Firm after Bill became Attorney General and made partner only after he was elected Governor. Bill says: President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its Chairman. The true facts are: The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy. Hillary became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's chice to be chairman. Bill says: She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital. The true facts are: Yes she did. But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-Mart board of directors, for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices. Bill says: Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994 but she kept working at it and helped to create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance. The true facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It was included in the budget deal between Bill Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott. I helped to negotiate the deal. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement. Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds. Bill says: Hillary was the face of America all over the world. The true facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House. Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic, and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them. Bill says: Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children's and women's issues. The true facts are: Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation: One set up a national park in Puerto Rico. A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions. And two were routine bills to aid 9-11 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation. Here is what bothers me more than anything else about Hillary Clinton. She has done everything possible to weaken the President and our country when it comes to the war on terror: 1. She wants to close GITMO & move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system. 2. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qaeda phone calls to/from the USA. 3. She wants to grants constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield. 4. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells & supporters in the USA. 5. She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives. I can't think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror. But, I can think of a lot of comments she has made that weakens our country and makes it a more dangerous situation for all of us... She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned. She is a disaster for all Americans.

Wow! Thanks for this information. I knew some of it, as I've read several books on Hillary, but some of it was new to me. And I couldn't just sit down and write it all out. I can't remember it all. Also, reading books on Hillary can really make you tired! You get tired of hearing all of the negative and really questionable stuff she was involved in, and you get tired of hearing how wonderful women think Hillary would be as president! The worse the information is, people tend to want to disbelieve it! Weird..

This was not only very informative but quite hillarious. GewCew23 I don't even want to know how you feel about Obama :) If you are not racist- you seem to run a close second. A little history lesson will tell you not all Black Panthers were bad- it actually started as a peaceful community organization that fed local kids and protected the neighborhood. It actually conforts me that Hillary Clinton is concerned with the civil liberties of Americans no matter what their color. I knew I liked her for some reason :) You said it like she committed a crime. Lawyers are suppose to protect the law aren't they? So it sounds like she was doing her job to me. As far as the rest of your ramblings... show me a politician that hasn't tried to make their past seem better or more publicly acceptable than it really was. Hint: America's Mayor? Show me a politician that has not used there position or that of a family member to get to where they wanted to be. Hell- that's what you Republicans are known for. It's only ok if Bush uses daddy's influence and Bin Laden's money but not ok for Hilary to use her husband's influence. Give me a break. First thing they tell you in business- it's not what you know- it's who you know. I don't agree with alot that comes from the ACLU but without them- hell- we would I be? I hope you've got more than that. Plus, how could you call your other responder a coward for not saying who he's voting for. Maybe he's responsible enough to carefully think out his position instead of going into a pig headed rant. Besides I didn't see you post your candidate. If not racist- you definately have a "have's vs. the have nots" mentality which is going to rip this country to shreds if the Republican's win and keep allowing this countries habits- that favor the wealthy minority in this country. If you ask me- Hillary is the lesser of the evils my friend. P.S.- the private vs public school comment was hillarious. I think you lost that one-lol.

What a completly one sided slant on the topic. I would be curious to hear your HONEST opinion on our current President. You say Hillary has done everything she can to bring down our President? Wrong, he has done that all on his own. Now I am not saying that I would vote for Hillary but you wrote this the piece to suit your own political agenda. You mean she wants to restore our Constitutional Rights that George Bush and his Nazi Regime have infringed upon without regard to the will of the American people? To points 2,3,4. Why don't you tell the truth. She does not want to STOP these things. She wants to put a stop to the government radomly prying into the private lives of upstanding American citizens. Let me ask you what your personally know about those prisoners at GITMO? Do you know for a fact they are ALL terrorists? Besides that, these people have been held in prison against their will for how long with no legal proceedings? Maybe they are terrorists, maybe they aren't. Don;t you think that everyone deserves access to a legal system and trial to determine their innocense or guilt? We are trying to promote democracy throughout the world right? Does that not involve the right to due legal process? Sounds to me like you are a bit racist!!! You have problems with the black panthers, the ACLU AND Muslims. Maybe it is your way of thinking that aligns with the WORST President in the history of our country and a disgrace to the american people that are actually a disaster for all Americans

Yes it is a one sided slant, it is suppose to be. Last time I checked there is not a fairness doctrine here on MyLot. I do find it funny that you never answered any of my statements, just hurled insults. I am a conservative Republican and unlike you I will answer your statements. You are completly one sided now are not you even if you are to gutless to say if you would vote for Hillary. I do think that President Bush has been a good president not the worst(Carter was the worst), but once again your being one sided. I do not understand why you think that President Bush has brought down himself, but of course you are being one sided. How does giving foreigners legel rights restoring the Constitution. The few bills that Hillary has voted for have been unconstitutional i.e children health care, that is not in the constitution. Oh I forgot universal heath care show me where in the constitution the government can force the citizens to have insurances. Name one way the Bush administration is as you say nazi regime. Oh want your being one sided I forgot. As of 2,3,4 while why don't you tell the truth. Oh what a minute you can't you have not answered anything from my discussion to start with. How do you know that they are "upstanding". I guess you think foreigner should have the same rights to our judical system, oh well can not help everyone. How do you know that they are not all terrorist can. Let me propose something, since you think that these people are good upstanding humans why do you not go live with them. May I ask you a question, how am I a racist. I due have problems with black panthers, ACLU, and terrorist but how does that make me a racist. If a black man had a problem with the KKK would that make him a racist. Maybe your a racist, your diffently a liberal, and true to form your gutless(how does insults fell). I know that it is not you fault you went to a public school.

Public school, lol. I can see that private school education served you well. LMAO Insults do not bother me. It is more your ignorance and committment to a political party that is in shambles. The Republican party should be disbanded. And no, I am not a liberal nor a conservative. I am not Republican nor a Democrat. I am an open minded individual that can look at ALL of the candidates on equal ground and vote across party lines to select who I think is the best for our country regardless of political affiliation. You go ahead and vote Republican no matter what because you are Republican. That is the most ignarant stance anyone can take. Rule out a possible great leader because of their political party. Please do not try and come across as high and mighty and highly educated because it does not show through in your writing. Your parents wasted their money on private scholl. Insults do not bother me at all because I do not look at it that way. I prefer to look at it as a debate and yes there is no doubt you are a true southern republican racist.
