I feel kind of bad for the pitcher. It seems like everyone counts on them a lot. Have you ever been a pitcher? Did you feel any pressure?

I used to pitch in the Pony leagues. I did feel pressure in big games, but channeling it is everything. Knowing that an out is needed when there are 2 on with one out, it's tough. But sometimes that pressure is relieved by trusting the defense behind you. My brother-in-law played in the Independant Leagues and said that when it comes down to it, it's just all about doing what he practiced to do. There is pressure, but no more than a catcher blocking a ball in the dirt, a fielder making a play, and a manager making a decision. The only thing is, the pitcher is involved in every pitch. You just have to be able to trust the defence. No different then a quarterback trusting his offensive line to protect him.

I pitched a game of baseball when I was younger when we used to play outside with the neighborhood kids. Back then I didn't care really, so no pressure. But I bet it is a lot of pressure.

Yeah I don't think there's pressure when you're just playing for fun, but in high school, college, and MLB I bet there is
