Household duties make me guilty when I write

I find everytime I go to sit down and write, I get guilty about my household duties. I say to myself, I will go and do it as soon as I do the vacuuming, as soon as I clean the kitchen, as soon as I check my emails. Then I get caught up on something, and don't address my writing for hours later.

I can totally relate. I try to keep things neat as I go so there is a pile of anything looking at me when I sit down to write. Its hard though, finding that balance. There are days when writing just has to get out on paper or I feel I'm implode. Then there are days the house starts to take on the looks of a building caught in the wrath of a tornado. Its a delicate balance indeed!
