I have one. I have it on "alarm" rather than radio, because there is always the possibility that the radio station is quiet at the time.
My husband has two alarms, but I insisted that he only use one. When he is on day shift he has to get up earlier than me, & the sound of one alarm is okay. I may hear it but I go back to sleep. The other alarm is terrible. I hate it, & it would wake me up early. So he doesn't use it.

Hello there. I only need 1. =D
I am a light sleeper and I wake up easily. However, waking up is one thing and getting up is another. I wake up easily but I do not get up easily. I will usually slack on my bed for another 10 - 15 minutes before actually getting out of my bed. Lazy me =P

I only need one alarm to wake me. Of course sometimes I will stay 5minutes in my bed, but I don,t really have problem to get up. My boyfriend always have 3 alarm clocks. But he can wake up after one. He put is alarm clock earlier. He could put it 20min later and I had to listen to the alarm clock oly one time lol

I only ever have one. Either my alarm clock at home, or my cell phone alarm at my boyfriend's. I used to have a problem sleeping through them, but I think my body is so finely tuned to wake up the second it goes off, that it's not a problem anymore.

I use 2. But that's because my apartment has stupid wiring and my landlord blows my breakers all the time (you'd think, if you built an apartment above your garage you'd separate the apartment breakers from the rest of the apartment, but my landlord doesn't think) so I have to have two.
I use one regular alarm clock and just in case the power goes out or a breaker is blown in the middle of the night I always have my cell phone on as a back up.

Only one clock is required to wake me up. I beleive, for everybody you require only one clock to awake the person...

WOW that's a lot of alarm clocks!
Just one does it for me. Though we do have two - one set for his time and one set for my time.

It just takes one for me, but I'm a light sleeper. Any little sound can wake me up. Couple that with insomnia, and it's hard for me to get a good night's sleep! LOL, on the plus side, I hardly over sleep because one alarm clock does it just fine for me.

I just have one and he gets up before me and then wakes me up...lol
I have always had difficulty hearing alarm clocks for some reason...I can hear the quietest phone ring but a loud alarm can go off in my head and still not wake me up..
When I had to get myself up like that...I too, had multiple alarms placed around the bedroom so that I had to get out of bed to turn them off....that is the only thing that seemed to work for me...
I have never been one to spend alot of hours each night in bed anyway and that may have been the actual problem...not getting enough sleep and being overtired..just a thought...

i don't use and actual alarm clock to get us up for work. i use the alarm on my cell phone. because i absolutely hate the sound of an alarm clock. even if i'm just watching a movie and an alarm goes off in the movie i hate it. it makes me all uneasy and weird. i have no idea why. but i would much rather wake up to my daughter crying or the cell phone going off then an alarm clock.
