Just wondering how religious leaders eg Pastors, Imams and the likes divulge secrets told to them by their followers on their various pulpit or when they are to give sermon. They start with someone was in my office today and she/he told me how .... and thats it the person may be there and they just spill the beans. Do you notice this? or are you a victim?

I don't know, I always sort of assumed that was just a rhetorical device to get people into the sermon, rather than somebody literally coming into their office and having all their personal business shared with the congregation! They should have the imagination to make something up, or base their sermon on something everyone knows about anyway, like a TV soap opera storyline or a news story, rather than using actual real life events. They are in a position of trust and if they can't keep confidential information to themselves then they should really not be in that position anymore.

I think that if they are good religious leaders...this wouldn't Matter.
They would not use any of the information given to them in Confidence.
Having said that....It is indeed rare when you find such an Individual.
what do I do???? I don't worry about it ! I have no Control , nor do I care
of what people say , think , or do. They are here in this world just like me.
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone , so just do what you can today. A.C.

I suppose they may go about it in a "around about" way. Not neccessarily come out and say someone was in my office today...but would create a sermon from an example. I think its against their faith and prefessional courtesy to disclose peoples problems and secrets.
