Has anybody used the methods in "The Secret"?

I saw the television show that was put out about "the Secret". I have not read the book but was discussing a few weeks ago with a driver who works at my work, he was diagnosed with cancer but said ever since he has used "The Secret" he feels his cancer is in remission. Has anyone read the book and use dthe guidelines in it?

I don't have the book but I do have the audio downloaded on my laptop.
I listen to it often. The lady who does the reading has a very soothing voice.

I haven't read the book or seen the movie, but did see an online clip or intro.. But I have long felt that there is creative power in our thoughts and our words (which words reflect the thoughts)..
