Is it just a way to communicate or a way to express yourself? Is it an activity important for you?

I find writing very therapeutic for me, I have kept journals in the past to record my thoughts and feelings as well as appointments and key events in my life. I also find that I enjoy writing poetry to express my inner deep feelings even if they come across depressive and macabre at times, it's a good way of putting thoughts onto paper so they don't clog up the thought process and interupt sleep patterns. In the past I have kept paper beside my bed in case I can't sleep, I write down all my feelings, get them out of my head then I can sleep better.

Writing for me is both to express my thoughts and is also an outlet for my creativity. It is a means to share with others what my sentiments are. it's important for me since there's always the possibilty of inspiring other through the written word.

Writing used to be a very important way for me to express my feelings, I would write in my personal daily diary, it helped me write down my thoughts and feelings and anything that was on my mind. I was quite explicit and expressive with it, it helped me in a way, kind of therapy, so I could look back on what I had done, and a memory jolt too. However my housemate found it and read it and after that I stopped writing, and have never taken it up again. Journals are good but they have to be private. I did used to write deep, meaningful poems.

Writing is a way for me to tell the stories that are in my imagination, to bring to life characters and events that may or may not be true, to take the reader to fantastic lands, to give them a glimpse of a wonderful world away from the humdrum of everyday. (Boy do I wax poetic when I want to.) And of course, I love writing. Is it a crime to love writing? Are there Philistines on myLot who object and think writing should be a pedantic expression for the business oriented? Or should it be only a way to talk to others, to tell what your life is like? Ah but it is all three, a way to bring a bit of yourself without actually physically being here.

For me writing is both a freedom from shackles society has placed on me, a avenue to explore my wildest fantasies stemming from my imagination AND a way to earn some residual income when placed in the appropriate 'traffic-generating' arena. My writing is a huge part of my life and learning to excel in the human condition . . . sharing the light, Miss Erica Hidvegi, the Enlightenment Advisor,B.A. Ursuline College Psychology (spclztn in Child Dvlpt & Abnrml Psych), M.A. Atlantic University-Transpersonal Psychology Studies- Cnslng/ Author, Artist, Photographer, Entrepreneur and Freelance extraordinaire http://www.writers.net/writers/27431

Writing is a good way for me to vent me emotions, and at other times communicate. I like to write letters and send cards to my long distance friends.

Writing for me is both those things actually...Its a means of communication AND a way to express myself...I tend to do a lot of pondering type writing and can/will write for hours when I'm in that sort of a "ponder the world and ppl in it" type mood...When I write letters I can and often do also sit and write for hours letting my other guy know whats goin on in life, how the kids are doing etc etc...I also write a great deal when I'm angry..In fact most of my creative doings (painting, drawing and writing) I do a great deal of when I'm having an episode in my depression etc...

Writing is very important to me. They say that you can tell a lot about a person by the way that they right. I try to write on a variety of topics but mostly do freelancing. I enjoy writing and it has paid me pretty good. I am always looking for more things to write about and it has helped me to express myself. I always write if I start getting upset about something, it helps to release a lot of feelings that are building up inside and it creates a way for me to escape this world. I started a social network for writers if you are interested. It doesn't cost anything to join and it will help to gather tips on writing and you can also promote your writing on there. Feel free to look around. I just started it today but it should be busy by the end of next week. http://writingforus.ning.com

I usually write when my thoughts are intense and only when I feel confident that they would make absolute sense. But, I would love to write a book someday. I wish I could even now make writing as my profession. But it's the best way to reach the society and make a difference.

Writing for me is freedom. Free to let my imagination run wild. Free to express myself. Free to be me without the constraints imposed on us by society. When I write I feel like a child again, playing with my imaginary playmates in my imaginary world.

For me it's about intersubjectivity, community, telepathy and ego. I am most excited by the possibilities of evolution when people pass ideas back and forth. That intersubjectivity creates an environment for unparalleled evolution of thought patterns and belief systems.

Writing, for me, is important like the air that I breathe everyday. I can't stay without writing. I write poems, and the poem for me is like a photo, I do a photo to an emotion and when I read my poems I have something to remember. I write my feelings, my experiences, I love writing.
