TravisE The short answer would be that people feel the need for a spiritual element in their lives, but are not fond of the tainted reputation religion has. The modernist, and post-modernist, adage of "I'm spiritual, but not religious" speaks volumes in this regard.

TravisE I leave my house, find some spot for me and my laptop and write for 30 minutes solid, everyday. That might not sound like much, but it does get words down and often leads to longer (or MUCH longer) sessions.
