Yes i do . As most of people in our country people are raised up without any religions . We just trust our leaders and goverment. We know little about God and any other religion. Can you live without any religion ? Can religion help a lot in your life ?

As I see it religion is the reflection of people (as with denominationalism)while theology is the reflection of God. In that light, I can do without religion, tho I can't do without theology..
ENJOY!

In support of what you say comes the alteration (in time) of what is called "baptize". Sometime durring the time it was changed from "do it when and if and who you want" to "parents decide for you while you are so young you barely make difference between pee and food :-P :-))

It's right that you cann't have a decision when you are young . Your parents would choose that for you.

I could live without religion. I choose not to because it has been very helpful for me. What country do you live in? Here in the USA, a lot of people publicly claim having no religion while privately following one. It's a sad state of affairs that ones beliefs are so chided and frowned upon that one feels the need to hide them.
As an aside, living without religion is somewhat a matter of view. From one view, in your personal belief system you may live free of influence by religion. (IMHO that would be an incredibly rare situation since exposure to religious beliefs is fairly ubiquitous.) From another view, no one lives a life free from religion since we are all interconnected by the virtue of existing in, and as part of, the same environment.

That depends on your definition of religion. You see a religion has standards and a set of beliefs. I am not afraid to boast to the world that I believe in God, but I do not adhere to only one religion, and thus, I don't really have a set of standard belief.
It's not like I'm choosing what to believe in, but I've always thought the pantheist point of view. If you can still call it religion, then I guess I still do have one.

The short answer would be that people feel the need for a spiritual element in their lives, but are not fond of the tainted reputation religion has. The modernist, and post-modernist, adage of "I'm spiritual, but not religious" speaks volumes in this regard.

I'm from China and most of people don't have any religion i should say. I was wondering why guys in your country would hide religion from others . As i say before no religion sometimes is kind of religion so it's probably true that every one in this world has religion. Good luck.

Of course you can. You can still worship God even without any religion. And I think it is better because you are transparent and there is a Unity of belief. Religion just help us to guide us in many ways. But it is Us who really decides on what we do in life. It is possible that we are good today, then later on, we make bad things. Just an opinion. Keep posting. Happy Mylotting. Have a nice day.

All the way I can live without religion, while religion is only a political-and-social-control-and-manipulate-people system.
Religions are fakes. All of them promote peace, love, tolerance .. but not for others who belong to other religion. Those "infidels" must be converted or killed.
Religions have separated human from God. Religions promote violence towards people who belong to other religions. What ? Sound familiar ? Sure, is the classic "divide et impera".
Again: religions are form of manipulations and have nothing to do with God.
I belive in God, in reincarnation, in human knowledge, in friendship, in truth, in karma. I belive - in fact I am sure - I don't know yet lot of things and once I'll find out something, I'll face a new "I don't know". Which make me an agnostic.

I actually agree with you in part, but your conclusions would be different. Religion made by man would always be of the picture you paint. But you cannot blame the religion made by God (if you believe). For the Religion made by God, is of compassion and love for others, respecting each others wishes and beleifs. Love for all hatred for none is what is advocated by God, and all he asks is for you to fear and worship him. Man today is ignorant of these simple truths.

Thanks very much for sharing your opinion here. I think religion itself is a good thing . It depends on people how to use it . What you say is right that sometimes religion is used as an excuse to start a war which is really cruel.

Religion can help SOME ppl and hinder others...I personally dont need religion in my life...and its not that I NEED spirituality, its just that being spiritual is a natural part of my core being and has been my entire life...I dont need it or not need it, it just is...Of course being spiritual and being religious are two completely different things..

Although i don't believe in any religions i read a lot of books showing us many ways to solve problems in life which i really need to have when i'm in trouble. That might be called spiritual things deeply in my heart which would guide me when necessary.

If I didn't believe in God, sure, I could live without any belief. But I do, so I don't live without Him.

I have my personal beliefs and me personally I cannot live without them. Thats not saying that there are other people who believe differently than I do, and I am willing to learn what they believe. My faith in God has helped me through some troubled times in life and I know other people who agree that their faith in their God (Allah, Yewah, etc) has helped them in their lives as well. Its a way of living your life and whether or not you believe the same thing as the next person doesn't take away whether or not you can life without YOUR own faith. I don't think I could live without the other religions in the world, because I think when I understand even a small bit of the other beliefs then I will understand mine more.

Many religious people tell me that their beliefs really help them a lot when they are in trouble . I think it's good to believe in some religion from this angle.

I would suggest no. Generally everyone everywhere has some religious views, even if it's "there is no religion". It's a system of world views. Your world view could be there there is no correct views. That in itself is a world view.
Even Madalyn Murray O'Hair, when you read about her, had very specific religious views. It was a religion against all other religions.
So no. In fact the most anti-religions people are generally the most religious of all.

I suppose some people can live without religion, but for most of us there are too many mysteries that can't be explained apart from God. If it's survival of the fittest, why does man know it's wrong to kill or even to be unwilling to help those in need? If there are laws in nature or laws of morality, who wrote those laws? Why do we strive to improve our condition? What is the point of loving? Some religions we can do without, but I just don't see how we can live without God.

The simple answer is no. I certainly can't but neither can society or other individuals who think they are.
This is simply because religion has become a religion of God and purified by God, and not a religion of man and corrupted by man. If the latter is the case, it is for this reason that there is no trust in religion and fear of God goes out of the system. But for the former, it the mere fear of God, knowing His presence and being able to benefit from it spiritually and materially, one can never ever turn away from religion in such a manner.
Religion is a code of conduct, in its true sense, a way of life which leads to God. If this practice is corrupted and is devoid of love and devotion of the One God, then there is only an abyss of dark wilderness devoid of fear of God, and believe that this life is all there is. Obviously, if one cannot see beyond this then naturally, logic would have them disbelieve. But alas, if they are wrong and God does exist, I who believe will not fall in front of him and ashamed. However, if he does not exist then, I still have nothing to lose, because who will hold a jury out for something that does not exist.
Religion is a vehicle of mercy from God to Mankind. For God is in no need, but we humans are. All creatures are submissive to his obedience except humans. We humans need to learn of our ungratefulness and respect the Fear of God.

In my country, almost all is christians and I'm one of it, but considers my self not and do not practice what they preach, I dunno what you call it. "agnostic" maybe?
I can leave without religion, my belief is all about me and not by priest or people telling me, I have my own sight for bible and god. I dunno.. haha
so without a religion? doesn't matter, It doesn't help us anyways. ^_^

To me there is a huge difference between religion and relationship. A religion many times causes people to trust in the religion's rules and leadership much more than the God of the Bible (speaking as a Christian). Even in the case of trusting in leaders and government. We are still putting our trust in people. I have found that whenever we trust in something run by mankind, there is an open door for you to be controlled by the leaders or organization. I prefer a relationship with the one whom I believe is God. I may get many ideas from religion or various leaders but I look to an ultimate relationship with God. In the meantime, I believe it is important to also respect leadership. It's an interesting thing to walked balanced in all of this.
