Dear Friends, How much time do you take to get ready for your office or your work place? I mean some of us are very fast then can get ready within half hour or so and some of us take one and half hour to two hours to get ready. Depending upon person to person. I require at least one hour to get ready for my office. Please share how much time do you spend to get ready? Thanks in advance.

It's 45 mins sharp, precisely from 7-30 AM to 8-15 AM. That's how it is for me everyday. There could be a relaxation of 10-15 mins depending on some important interruptions in the morning, like someone calling up or my mother breaking the flow with some important talkings or even I decide on to pick on which dress to wear!!
You take 1 hour and I think it's more or less okay. But, Deepak, how do you take more time than me!! you do not have to fidget with hair thinking that it is the worst of bad hair days or even stopping in front of the mirror to say, how drab I look!! lol..

As I have to get ready for my college in morning..!!
Its like a fixed routine in morning..!
I get up around 6:45 in morning and get all ready by 7:30...over all at maximum I take only 45 mins. to get ready...!!
And If I by mistake wakes up at 7:00 or 7:15 then also I can always manage to get ready by 7:30.....Yes thats only 15 mins.!!
And that too without skipping any bath..!!
Now I call that "speed"....!!
People really get amazed when they come to know about it that "me" a "girl" can get ready in just 15 mins..!!
But the actuall reason behind it is in morning I get extremely hungry for breakfast so I just somehow need to get ready as fast as I can becasue I need to eat something...!!
Without any shower in morning I can't have any peice of food in my mouth...!!
:)

You may not believe me, but it is true. I get ready within 10 minutes. By the time I come out of kitchen, after cooking, making lunch boxes for everyone, it will be past 9.30 am. Where is the time to spend time for me? This is the case with many working ladies.

It usually take around an hour for me to get ready in the morning. I usually lay in bed for two minutes after I open my eyes. Then I take a bath - that takes around 15-20 minutes. I eat my breakfast for 10 minutes. Brush my teeth - 2 minutes. Dress up which includes doing the hair and face for 20 minutes. That takes my morning routine!

It is a six year old post Surekhaji, how did you find it.
You do not need to go to office as far I know so you could afford to take even more time to get ready.
Thanks for responding.

I no longer have to go out of the house to a regular job, but when I did, I used to get up about two, to two and a quarter hours before I needed to be there. I would get up, take a bath, then make my breakfast and sit down and eat it at a reasonable pace, allowing about half an hour to eat and digest a little.
Then, I would go fix my make-up, get dressed and fix my hair, before taking a further hot drink and maybe check my mail, and wash up the breakfast things. After this, I would get all my bits together which I needed for the day, and I'd set out for work. My work used to be a quarter of an hour from where I live, and operated on flexi-time, so I never panicked or rushed. If I was ten minutes late, then I either cut my lunch time by ten minutes, or worked ten minutes over in the evening. One thing I always tried to avoid was getting stressed out over work before I even got there. lol.
Brightest Blessings.

Here in this country life is very fast and usually place of work is quite far from your place of living. I have everyday about one hour journey by bus and 20 minutes walk everymorning till I reach my work place which starts at 8:00 am. To reach at 8 am in the office I have to catch 6 am bus, because if I will take a busy later than this I can get caught into heavy traffic jam and get late to work. So to catch this 6 am bus, I have to leave my bed every morning at 5am (which I hate but have no choice), within 45 minutes I leave the house because the bus stand is again at the distance of 15 minutes from my house.....When I was in india, life was different....offices start at 9 or 10, and they are near to your house.......we did not had to work so hard.....but here we live life of donkeys.....:))

Dear! It appears to me too much. Too little time in the morning...and so much exercise for your to perform, before you actually reach office. But you appear to me pretty fast, because you say that you get ready within 45 minutes. I take more time to get ready.
Thanks very much for sharing! :):

I think i spend most of an hour and a half getting ready for work. I am a lady, I got to choose what i will be wearing, what i will be bringing. I have to take breakfast solidly and sometimes i got to play with my kittens and dog before going out. some cuddling i think to get a little energy. And replying to cellphone messages is included.

Hey Deepak. As you know, I'm a full time mommy right now and so my 'office' is where ever he is. So I change, brush my hair and teeth and I'm ready to play! When I was going to work, I always woke up extra early because I don't like rushing. I like eating a slow breakfast and taking my time. I shower and put out all the things I need for work the night before so I don't have that much to do - I just like to take my time doing it. Sorry I don't have exact times!

Hi Dpk262006.
Since I like to sleep a lot, I will take 20 minutes to get myself ready and will just grab my car key and go. Haha. I will get ready as fast as I can just to get more time to sleep. Haha.
