who is petite here?

i've never heard such comments on short people, my best friend stands at a mere 4.11 and it hasn't hindered her life in anyway. Yeah she's been teased called shortie and such like, but she doesn't take offense. I on the other hand am 6ft, i've also had lots of teasing, whats the weather like up there etc. Try to shrug it off, a lot of people will continue to tease you purely cos you take it so seriously

ME ME ME!!!! I'm shorter than you! I'm only 4'9" he he he he...but height never bothered me. I LOVE being tiny even though it's hard for me to reach stuff put in high places, but taller people'll usually help me out. ;-D I'm sorry to say that you college friends treated you that way. None of my friends ever treated me that way even though they are mostly taller than me. No matter what, just enjoy your life and your accomplishments and don't let anyone else ruin your day about your height. What matters most is what's inside you. :D

I am 5foot 8inches, a bloody giant compared to lots of people! I think some people lie about their height, pretty much all men anyway.

I'm 5'3" and somewhere around 110-115lbs normally. I know exactly what you're talking abot. It's so annoying that people think I'm weak just beause I'm little. I also don't appreciate how people think I don't need to eat much either. I always have a huge appetite and can eat a lot but restarants are constantly trying to give me the half orders of what I want or people will just give me small portions in comparison to "normal sized" people. I even remember one dinner where all the "larger" people were given seconds and I had to go without because all the leftovers had been divided out amongst the larger people and it was assmed that the one small serving I got was enough for me. It's also frustratingto me nderestimated in so many ways. It's like being stuck at age 14 forever.

that is right! i am only 5'4" and only weigh 105 lbs. so people underestemate my strength alot. but they soon learn i might be small but it's what's inside. what drives you is what makes how big of a person you are not yout physical size.

I am 5'3" but no one really picks on my height. Well my hubby is 6' and he will sometimes. I know I am short and can't reach everything so that is mainly when he picks on me. Also my brothers will pick on my height. But they also pick on me all the time anyway. If they know it bothers you they will do it more. Also remember usually the ones picking on you know you and do it just to have fun. Try this, when someone picks on you laugh with them. I am not sure when it stopped but my brothers dont pick on me as much. Or just ignore them completely and then they might stop. Good Luck!!

Mmmm, im really small myself but i like it.. when im with my friends im treated as the baby of the group, partly cos im the youngest aswel like. of course you cna do the same things as they can, thers nothin to hold you back, as im sure you know yourself,, think of the advantages of been small :] you wont be taller than your boyfriend you won't look lanky small people look cute =]

I am a small frame and I only stand 5'2'. But lucky for me, I look taller than I am actually is because of I am skinny. I have seen many smart short people around and I even worked with them before. So never underestimate others because of their physical appearance.

Yes, very right! I stand 4'10 and I look like 12 years old, you are far taller than I am. Well, my friends call me big and tall. Why? I am one their most enthusiastic confident friend who does what they can't do. Just show them that you are more than your height!

Hey, Don't mind them. They just insecured coz your cute same as me. smile!:) Im only 5 feet and 1 inch. I am not insecured with it. Actually, Im the smallest in my family. My sister is 5 feet and 7 inches, My kuya is 5 feet and 6 inches and my younger brother is 5 feet and 8 inches. My father is 5 feet and 5 i nches and my mother is 5 feet and 2 inches. So? whats the big deal on that? Im the cutiest of them all. hehehe. Your cute so be proud of it. happy posting. :)

Though not 5 ft or under, I don't reach 6 ft either and some (usually women) say that's petite/puny for guys.

I'm 5'1" and even though I'm the eldest among 4 siblings, I'm also the smallest. My 12-year-old sister can carry me on her back even; she's a bit taller than me already. I've been called "little girl" and I've often gotten comments that I look younger I really am. But I don't think anybody ever made fun of me because of my height; but I guess it was because a lot of other people were shorter than me.

I love this discussion! I am only 5' 1" myself! My kids are taller (except my 5 year old) than I am and have been since they were 10! I tell them its their turn to help me reach things up high now. When they were little I told them I needed them to help me reach the lower items in the grocery store! I also have a saying I tell people that make rude comments regarding my height, "Good things come in small packages, diamonds, emeralds, dynamite and ME!" by the time I finish they are usually laughing and apologizing all over the place. My sister is my height and our mother is a bit shorter. My sister in law is only 4' 11". I love being tiny. I can squeeze though crowds faster and height has nothing to do with intelligence!

Hi Gorgeousdreamer, I'm 4'5"...never felt short. It's who we are INSIDE and what we are made up of...character and stuff. Today I feel like Im in the clouds above...I feel great. Iv so many friends that Iv helped out in many ways and they all look UP...UP ok at me. Im a 'materializer' if I may put it that way. So short is no hitch to anything. If someone teases you, u don't have to react but just smile remembering that u are wiser and that other person probably is 'handicapped' as he/she has not the wisdom that you have... cheerio

I know where your coming from. All my life I have been pretty much smaller then everyone else. Even now I'm almost 30 and I'm a little over 5 feet myself. It use to really bother me but as I got older I didn't really look like I have aged at all. I like being small it cheaper when it comes to buying clothes and shoes so thats a real bonus in my eyes. You know how the saying goes, good things comes in small packages.lol

hello friend, i'm also petite, i stand 5'1". no one really underestimate me because of my height but my brothers and hubby use to tease me about it. i don't get offended cause i know they jst like to joke around and i am not ashamed of being a petite woman, it's actually cute and most of friends are also petite. NO one can put me down just because of my height though i like to be taller i am still contented of what i am now since we can't have everything in life. have a blessed day!

even im just 5'2..i hav suffered a lot bcos of tis...ppl always judge us by our height...i hate tis behavior of others....they feel tat v ppl are not capable of doin anything rite...v hav to prove them all wrong....

what can i say i don t know but short peoples not a bad peoples.
