Is it possible for someone to get dandruff from another person - like from a husband to his wife especially if they live/sleep together or share the same pillow/bed?
I'm just curious as I do have a problem with dandruff and dont wanna spread it to my wife!

Yes. Dandruff is certainly contagious. One will contract that through contaminated pillow cover, used comb, towel etc.. Especially it is important to keep the comb clean.

Dandruff is not contagious. But it comes under Fungal Infection. Any body in the house uses the same pillow, comb are likely to get afftected by dandruff like in any other fungal infections where clothes should be washed in very hot water, and the same towels should not be used. These things are precationary measures. But this type of fungal infection is not so to spred to others.

hi pitstop,
I cant call it as contagious but it spreads if dandruff comes in contact with your hair. I mean if You use the peron's comb who has dandruff then you can slo get dandruff also by sharing the pillows as well as the same towels and all the things where your head comes in contact with a dandruff particle. You can be carefull about all these small things and always use the shampoos mixed in water and dont directly use the shampoo to your scalp as it contains alot of chemicals which can harm the skin of your scalp.Dont mix hot and cold water while taking hair bath avoid using very hot water if possible use lukewarm or cold water for washing hair,

I don't think so. Its a skin condition, and not and infection, so I don't think its transferrable.
