My sister moved to Orillia Ontario Canada this past summer and now is in need of a doctor. There is a walk in clinic after 6 p.m. but the buses stop running after 6. So she was looking into getting a family doctor and called this place that said there is a $100 admin fee of so sort for them to take her. She is in Canada. I have been to several different doctors throughout the years and NEVER had to pay this. I recently got a new doctor and didn't have to pay to see her. I understand that we are becoming more and more privatized but this is crazy in my opinion. She pays her taxes which is supposed to pay for health care! Is this happening to any of you? Are you paying out things in health care you never had to before?

Canada has socialized medicine, right? I don't think I'm familiar enough with the ins and outs of that to compare. All I know is if you want health care, a person has to pay through the nose these days!

We are supposed to have universal health care meaning that we can go to a doctor free cause we pay out all that in our taxes. They are making a loop hole calling this an admin fee. Sucks!
