Ehhhh I have strep throat

Everyone kept telling me it was just a cold. Even the doctor's said my symptoms did not coincide with strep. But I knew something wasn't right. When the doctor finally looked at my throat she said she was going to do a culture just to be sure.(I guess the golf size, bright red tonsils concerned her.)Results?. Yes, I have strep! Has anyone ever had this happen? You know your body better then anyone. Have you ever known something was wrong when ever one else said you were exaggerating?

Strangely I've managed to avoid strep, thank an overactive amunity system for that. Its hard to get me sick & when it does happen ( usually from overexposure to a sick kid I'm keeping home from school ) I just retire to a bed myself. If I complain enough that I go to the doc everyone knows I'm really sick ( like a pending pendasitus ).

I don't get sick all that often and I have no idea how I managed to get strep. Thank you for your well wishes

Yes and it was when I had strep that I knew something was wrong. I felt horrible and I missed 2 weeeks of work form it. I had one of the worst cases that the doctor had ever seen and I just couldn't seem to get over it.I hate strep throat and I try my best to avoid anyone that has it. I don't think that I can catch it from talking to you on here. HAHA!!

I will try not to send my germs over the net ;) I called my office right away for them to spray everything down. LOL some people sprayed things twice.Mine isn't as bad as yours thank god. I am due back to work tomorrow :(

I'm not used to doing nothing.But I don't have much of a choice. Got my soup and fluids. Thanks for the well wishes!

I have had strep so many times that I just go to the doctor and tell them what I have now. Haha. My throats swells shut though. and I usually have to head in with paper and pen to tell them what's wrong with me. I'm going to go to an ear nose and throat specialist on monday though. I guess they are a little concerned with how often I keep getting it. I just had strep 5 months ago and now I have it again. No fun!
