What's the Best way to Relax when you're nervous?

Sometimes when i feel nervous is obviously try to calm down and relax. But unfortunately, sometimes it's really hard, so i look for new ways to relax, you know, to leave all bad thoughts aside and try to leave my mind on standby for a few minutes and try to calm down.
How do you do that? do you have any way in which you can reach calm and relaxation? please share them with me, it would be appreciated.

common buddy....
take everything in a cool way with a positive attitude
when you are nervous do not involvo in any discussion or argument..give rest..
whatever may be the problem...just come out of the problem and do something that pleases you and builds up confidence in you.......
at that time you listen to some music that you like and go to a calm place
you can also chant some mantras or do some yoga to control your nervousness.................

I agree with tamerlane.Yoga and chanting of mantras,meditation really chills our mind.for some people talking with friends can reduce tension and sometimes gaming can do wonders.we can take our tension on the computer opponents(fps) hahahahaha!!!.Taking 10 deep breaths is a common way of reducing tension

Hi Lightnin,
I do a lot of singing and sometimes I feel really nervous before I get up to sing.
Taking slow, deep breaths helps. Also, pep talks are also helpful.
The best advice I can give you is pray. God wants to help you and He will. He always does me. I just remember that He is right there beside me. That calms me more than anything!

The best ways for me to relax are to take a nice hot bubble bath or put on some of my favorite music. Going for a walk in a nice scenic spot also relaxes me.

When I get nervous about anything I try to listen to some good music and picture myself somewhere else. It usually helps pretty good but if it for some reason doesn't then I just go to bed and sleep it off. That always helps me by putting things in a new perspective.

The way I relax when I feel nervous is to take a good book or my laptop computer, and head to my favourite cafe for a cup of coffee. I just got some books yesterday that I ordered from Amazon, so I have lots of reading material to last me for a good long time.

Hi LightninStrike! Omg, that is one of the most difficult thing I could possibly make myself do. Usually when I feel very nervous or worried about something, I can not really take my mind off it but then I do try some ways to distract myself even for quite some time..I pray a lot during those times then I try to escape in a world of daydreaming, listen to music and just busy myself with just about anything that I can put my hands on. I guess it depends on how nervous I am or how worried I am but one thing usually works for me is to let all my worries out when I pray. Take care and have a nice day.
