I love the seaside. I would perfer going to the ocean to going to the mountains. It's probably because I live a couple hours drive from the Rocky Mountains and can go whenever I want but I have to fly to the ocean. I love the mountains to but the ocean is like a special treat for me.

Sea without a doubt. I was born and grew up by the ocean and although I like the mountains too - specially if there is a lake nearby :) - there is nothing that gives me a better feeling than to sit by the ocean or swim for a while:)

I like both and would love to go to some mountains since there are none here, but if I had to pick between them it will definately be the sea. I grew up on an island so I have always been surrounded by water no matter where I went. I can't even imagine a life without the sea nearby anymore.

I prefer to go seaside. The ambiance, the feel, the relaxation, the ocean, the warmth and the sounds are all pretty good. Plus I have plenty to do if I go there, or I can just relax. I will say I wouldn't mind climbing mountains either since there are different strengths to that. Nature is pretty hawt.

I came from a coastal area, the climte is very humid and and it rains for 3 to 4 months in a year. Even during rainy day the climate is very hot. In hilly regions, the climate is cool even during summer and during winter it is chilly. I love mountains and do not like the sea at all.

Peaceful beach scene - An idyllic place to spend a camping holiday.
I love both as well. Driving through the mountains when the air is crisp and clean is wonderful. Finding somewhere to stop for a picnic lunch where it's quiet and peaceful is just heaven. It's getting harder to do these days as so many have the same idea. As for the sea...I prefer to spend some time taking it all in, soaking up the sunrises, birdsong, sound of the waves lapping the shore and fossicking along the shoreline for treasures. It has to be a remote beach or seaside venue though, somewhere out of the way without the crowds of people who flock to the beach.

I wouldn't want to stay by the seaside because it's too humid and hot. But I would love to live in the mountains because there are so many trees, cedar and pine and the treepie bird there and also a lot of koels and the whistling birds. I think it's called the snowbird. But apart from that, it's less populated and you can climb as many mountains you want, but it never just seems to end. And above all, you can just stay with nature all alone not bothered by anybody. And the sound of the wind whistling across the trees is just entrancing with bees humming around. Wow!!! This is one great experience I had a few years back, which I would never forget. I would surely live in the mountains.

I'm with you because I like the solitude as well and the fact that there are less people to bug one. I want to move to Oregon by Astoria, which is close to the ocean but also only 45 minutes to the mountains and close to Canada and there's lots of space and it stays cool most of the year. I want a ranch with at least 2 or 3 miles between me and other people where I can have as many animals as I like and have peace and quiet without being invaded by someone's stereo or the city noises.

the river under the mountain in my hometown - the river close to the mountain in my hometown
Well, the city where I live is close to the mountain, but I don't often go to the mountain for a trip. I am happy that I can see the far-away mountains from the top of my apartment. I remember that it was many years ago when my wife and her brother and I went for a hiking in the mountain and we had a lot of fun that day. But I also look forward to seeing the blue sea that we can often see on TV and movies.

I prefer to go to the mountains because I just like the view and the silence there. I like doing picnic on the mountains too with friends and we do it sometime. Breathing fresh air is one of the advantages of going into the mountains instead breating the dirty and contamined air in the city. So I would deffinitely chose the mountains.

Hello there. I have only seen Mount Fuji before and it was from a far away distance. If one day I get a chance to go up a mountain, I think I might just fall in love with the breathtaking view. It must be amazing view up there. However, as of now, I would say I prefer the oceans and sea. I am someone who loves the water and swimming. I also like sea animals like dolphins. =D

The seaside is preferable for laid-back relaxation while the mountains are good for adventure if you don't opt for the conveniences for tourists.

I like both mountains and sea. But would prefer mountains because I can see far away from the mountain.

I love both equally. I grew up near the coast but my family spent much time each year up in the mountains. I love the country and the mountains and I also love spending time on the beach. I love it all equally.

What about mountains near the seashore? Somehow there are places in the world with the beauty of nature. How I love to breathe fresh air and the sea breeze blowing. Whenever I go to this places, I love to have a good book to read and sometimes just to be myself and reminisce.
