Love starts on the Internet

I met my husband online at a dating site 4.5 yrs ago. We married 9 months later and are still very happy together. Although there are a lot of games and lies through these dating sites, there is also a comfort level over the internet that you cannot achieve eye to eye which brings a whole different degree to sharing personal information.

It started online 2 1/2 yrs ago, and we're still together. It was on a fire/police chat room. Two months after we had our first chat, I was moving across country for us to be together. He had flown down to spend vacation with me one month after our first chat, and we both knew from the start that we were meant to be together. So I have a wonderful man in my life, now working my dream job ( wildland firefighter) and couldnt ask for anything else.

yes, i had a boyfriend from Canada because of dating sites..we started hi and hellos..after that we had our everyday emails, exchanging of pictures, we send gifts like birthday gifts and christmas gifts, but after an almost a year we broke up coz i think we really don't meant to each other..yes, theres a lot of beautiful stories started on the internet but there are also failed stories too..

Just like you, my beautiful love story started on the internet. We first saw each other's profile on a dating site. Then we began chatting. When I say chatting, it was chatting everyday. That was at least 5 hours everyday. If I didn't have to go to work, chatting would probably have been all day long. After chatting hours, we were on our cellphones almost every hour. Then we just felt that our bills were too expensive, and that we just couldn't be without each other, so he decided to fly to our country. We're happy together, and getting married on 2008. This is beautiful love!

no steerforth i won't chat mcuh on internet.but now a days this kind of stories are more to hear.it's nice that you had a beautifull story.beacuse of this internet it's became possible thanks to net and the community creators who made a path for you and your girlfriend.

I don't really agree with this.. Because people in the web is so abstract that you cannot know very well. Talk with another in the real world is better. There is something you cannot understand from talking in the web. You can't see if she/he is laugh, or cry, or another.

Well, I guess you can say I am an old fashioned person and prefer to meet people in a place but not on the internet. I am always afraid that people will lie too much about themselves that way. But, if you meet them in store or a club, it wouldn't be as bad.

I met my partner through a chat room online. We were both chatting about music and got to chatting more and more. After a while we exchanged phone numbers and spoke on the phone until we decided to meet up. We have been together ever since.
