My partner prefers Myspace and I prefer Facebook. I like myspace, so many music groups, great blogs great people. But I find their is far too many young people. I'm fed up with the 13 and 14 years olds on there, trying to be and act like they're thirty. I find Facebook has less kids as you tend to have just your group of friends on there. I also like the games, the applications and the surveys. The groups can be a bit odd but overall I prefer it.

I'm at both places and to be honest I don't really spend a lot of time at either place. I go on Myspace more because I like being able to make my profile my own but when I do go out I'm not on there for hours and hours. You won't find my profile filled with hundreds and hundreds of people because I just don't collect them like other people do.
I haven't been at Facebook that long and only signed up because a friend of mine is over there and pretty much I don't even think of going over there really. I do like being able to import blog posts over there because I'm in a blog for a year competition but I have to say that I don't really have strong feelings about either one being better.

For me, Myspace is too open source. There are so many applications and ways to customize that it just drives me up the wall. It's less formal, less clean, and seems easier for others too look at your profile, even if you set it on private. And yes, it's overtaken by kids who seem to want to be older than they actually are.
Facebook is much cleaner and nicer. There are applications, yes, but they're pretty controlled and generally follow the look of the site. I think of Facebook of a social networker (unlike myspace, which seems more like a blog / personal site than anything else).
