Do you have a regular computer tech support service, do you do it yourself or do you just hope and pray you never have a computer problem? Have you ever tried a service like Juvio? If so, what have been your experiences and if not would that be something you'd be interested in? I had a problem with my computer about a year after I got it and I called the Compaq support line and they wouldn't help me unless I paid $49! I didn't pay it, by the way. Now I have Juvio and it's amazing how they can fix my computer remotely. I have no clue how they can do it but it sure is incredible.

That is one of the things I love about Yahoo, anniepa, they provide tech support to help you when you need it. I have called on them many times before I got the computer I now use. They were always patient and helpful. It is amazing how they can help solve your problems remotely. I also think that when you purchase a computer from a company they should provide tech support for free.

Hmm... never knew of that Juvio thing, but remote fixing a comp is not hard if the problem is just in the comp's operating system or if there is a problem with some softwer installed. I have some skill in fixing technical stuff and I do it myself. I am pretty good with computer technical parts and I can recognize what is wrong with a computer when I see the inside. I have fixed my old motherboard which was broken for some time, but because it was old I didn't wanted to give money for fixing it. So I tried myself and did it. :)

I call my oldest son, if he can't answer my tech question he has friends who usually can or my nephew. Between them my system is up and running great!

Compaq/HP customer service is horrific!! So are most of their laptops made in recent years! I still can't believe there are people out there still gushing over them! -_-
Now to the topic. At times I do my own maintenance. If its a major problem, I'll either take it to a local shop, or its so old that its reach the point of no return so I'll get a new one. I very rarely have computer problems, especially software side. Hardware side, if its something obvious I can get it. If its something very obvious like age, then its time for a decommissioning.
