Somehow I deleted my desktop icon to access my Internet Explorer and I need it to access some of my important sites...thankfully not mylot. I looked in my help and support but it doesn't mention what to do if something like this happens...of course not....who does this! Only me! I tried to download IE and got the message that I already have it so that's useless. Does anyone have any idea as to what I can do to fix this mess I've created for myself?

The same thing happened to me a long time ago, ctry, and I can't remember what I did to get it back, but you could try going to your menu and choosing access and defaults. When it comes up, check to make sure that you have access to IE selected. You could also pull up your menu and select Run. Type in: Iexplore.exe, and see if that will take you there.

Another bad habit I have is emptying my recycle bin too often.

I would highly suggest converting over to Firefox, because the browser is more secure than Internet Explorer. There are a lot of exploits for IE that are not in Firefox. For your own security, I would switch.

Hi Ctrymuziklvr. Guess you have find your way out from the problem. Haha. Anyway, keep your IE safe. I don't know the exact reason but so far as I know it has direct impact to the operating system. All the best

I have a bad habit of deleting things I THINK I don't need. I know I should at least keep a written list somewhere of what NOT to delete since I'm so computer illiterate but I don't.
