Best Utada Hikaru singles

i love so many of her songs! my favorites, besides those 2 you know, are: - uso mitaina i love you - sakura drops - shiawase ni narou - passion - hikari - simple & clean - flavor of life (ballad version), the original i like but not so much - travelling - colors - final distance i know there's more but i can't think of 'em right now. :(

YOu know what happened to me one night, I was downloading some stuff on the internet and came across Utada Hikaru. So I thought, I might as well try listening to something different like a jap song. First song was, Automatic, then it hit me.. I was on fire.. I downloaded everything that says Utada that night. Hahaha.. I just enjoy her music that much.. Hikari makes me shiver with delight.. It's super amazing although I don't know japanese but I try to learn it. It makes learning new language fun and interesting. Makes you learn fast. LOL...

Good to hear that you've found out about Utada! My favourite Japanese song of hers would probably be Final Distance, but I think you have to watch the video for it and know the story behind it to really understand it. Basically, she decided to rearrange it into a ballad (from what I know it was originally more upbeat) and release it as a single after a schoolgirl in Japan was shot. The videos pretty amazing, so I recommend you check that out to! In my opinion, her best English song would have to be Exodus '04 or You Make Me Want To Be A Man. The title of the latter song sounds a little strange, but it's actually about a woman wanting to understand her partner better. Hope I've been of some help!

Try "Beatiful World". It's a theme song from the newest Evangelion movie. Simply beautiful*_* Utada herself described it as "Uptmpo but sad song" and I agree with that. great lyrics and tune^_^

OMG I love love love Utada!! She is my favorite singer!! It doesn't even matter if I can't understand, she has the most beautiful voice and her songs all hold so much meaning and are so deep. Its amazing. Some songs I would definitely recommend are: Beautiful World Prisoner of Love Heart Station Fight the Blues Deep River Sakura Drops Stay Gold Kiss & Cry This Is Love Passion Keep Tryin' Be My Last Colors Easy Breezy You Make Me Want To Be A Man Simple & Clean and probably even some others!! Her songs are all so amazing and if your not obsessed with her already, you will be soon. ^-^ Also besides her if you want, other Jpop artists I'd recommend are Ayumi Hamasaki- she's ok, but my bff loves her-depends on what you like. She started out techno-ish but now is very rock YUI- soft rock, alternative, very summer-y and positive) BoA- a more dance type artist Namie Amuro- has a few good pop songs I like, for ex. Hide & Seek, and What A Feeling Home Made Kazoku- guy group- just 2 songs I like- Nagareboshi, and Arigatou && also a Korean guy group I like (they rap, but their music is not typical rap at at!! Really, check them out!!) called Epik High. ...just if you don't already know those peeps. They have some great music. Check them out when you get the chance!! Happy music listening!!

hi jowjie! ^__^ i also love automatic and first love. i don't know utada hikaru yet when i learned the song automatic. it was the song my friend and his group danced into when they entered a competition or something and he taught me some of their steps. ^__^ and first love.. you know toni gonzaga's imitation of that song?? when i heard that toni gonzaga song i was like, i know that song but i can't remember where i have heard it but i was so sure that it was j-pop. and i was right. and i couldn't help but feel disappointed with toni gonzaga. ^__^;; anyway, utada hikaru's version of Fly Me to the Moon is nice too especially the intro. i love the intro! ^__^ and then colors is nice too and forbidden love. ^__^

better try out Flavor of Life.. it was the themesong of Hana Yori Dango (if i'm not mistaken). I saw her PV of this song and i was amazed.

I didn't know all Utada Hikaru songs since I'm not a fan.I just like to listen for her song "First Love" . It's really a nice song =)
