Are you a "morning person" or would you say in the morning it's best everyone stays out of your way or you will "bark" at them?
Some people find it very hard to function in the morning, and even though they must get up ..such people prefer to be "left alone" ..
What kind of person are you in the morning???Me, I would say I am a morning person..As the day wears on me ..I become tired and can't think straight..so my best moments are in the morning..before the hustle and bustle of the take over me and tire me out;)
What about you???

Hello littlefrancisan,
I like mornings, though sometimes it is not easy to open my eyes. I hope the timechanging helps now a lot. I am quite active as soon as I get up. My brain must be activated first a little, with two jug of café au lait. One at home, and one at my workplace. But I am not the person who cannot speak in the mornings, I can, and I really active. I need the coffe, because my thinking is very slow in the office without it, it is really nasty, when I realize how stupid I am.

lol...I was a night person before I was married and had kids. I was at my best after everyone was in bed. Especially when I was studying. My most effective studying was done at night. But a year after my first child was born, I decided I was going to be up at 5 am so that I could finish all my work before everyone was up and could spend the rest of the day with my son. I thought it would be difficult (I had never seen a unrise before that!)...but it turned out that I felt fresh and got a lot of work done than earlier. And I felt fresh the whole day! So, I am now a 'morning' person.

Sometimes changes in lifestyle means a change in scheudle. Marriage does come with it's obligations; wouldn't you agree?

Some people can get along with just a few hours sleep..If you are younger though they say the lack of sleep..though you may not realize it..will play havoc on your long term health.. Sometimes you need sleep to help your brain cells resize themselves;)

I would say somedays I am a morning person.. and I am up and ready and have a lot already done. But most of the time I hate morning. It is very hard for me to get motivated. Especially when I just want to stay under the nice warm covers.

On cold mornings..I too would rather stay under the nice warm covers..he he.. but I push myself and call myself lazy old slouch...Then I convince myself to get up out of bed;)

I would presume then you work the evening shift? If I found it hard to function during the morning, I would work nights ..sleep in and wake up later in the day.

I am not a morning person. I have to sit and be quiet for awhile as I wake up before I want to even talk to someone. Hubby on the other hand, can open his eyes and say "Good morning".

Luckily one of you is able to be the "good morning" person. Can you imagine if both of you were not morning persons..

I am a morning person.
I like the mornings the most.
I think my brain is more free at morning and I find it more easier to do things at morning.
From my childhood I used to do more difficult things in morning.
Now also i try to inish most things in morning only.

Good for you. Mornings are the best ..this is true. Some however, due to work have made a switch and I can also understand this.

Having worked for as a technical support call center agent during my working student years, I can easily say that I'm no longer a morning person. I was used to life being a student, that is, waking up at five in the morning and being in school less than two hours later. But working night shifts during my call center stint (my schedule was from seven in the evening to four in the morning) messed up my body clock so bad I started having trouble restoring my wakeup schedule to mornings.
After a year of trying to go back to normal sleeping hours, I started working for an animation company (this was during my last year in college) which had night shifts, and my schedule was from ten in the evening to six in the morning. It successfully threw me back to the body clock schedule I tried so hard to break, and since then I've accepted the fact that I'm no longer a morning person, and I have started being comfortable with it. I now wake up a little past noon and live the rest of my day until sunrise when I usually go to sleep.

So often times our work is what determines the rest of the schedule, so I can understand you completely that you got use to being a night person.
I am glad my work is not in the evening any more.

Lots of us fall into that category. The morning routine is more necessity then want to . I have so much going on in the morning that if I don't get up ..it remains undone.

i am definitely not a morning person. I am not grouchy unless i have to deal with a grouchy person first thing. I am just very very quiet. I need my space. I wake up very slowly and I like to be left alone for a bit while i have my coffee and come to life. all too often I wake up to having to jump up and run my daughter to school as she has missed her bus or my older daughter making noise while getting ready for work. I mite feel grumpy but there is not enough energy yet to show any grumpiness.

he he. I know what you mean. I need my space in the morning when I wake up. I don't have children; but my cats just can't seem to understand this need for space in the morning. While I prefer a quiet cup of coffee, they want to race up and down the walls and that is literally;)

What kind of work do you do in the night shift. I think it's understood that if you work through the night you will have to get your sleep in, in the day time :)

I am not a "morning person".In the morning my parents get up earlier than me.They cook for me,but I sleep later every night because of my work. They can understand me well so that my father is a "morninr person" and my mother too.Maybe most people find it difficult to get up early in the morning, but every one konws it is good to do something in the morning. Now many people konw this and they cannot do this..

Well usually work will cause you the need for sleep:) So if you have to work.. usually your schedule is catered to that.

I'm not a morning person. Not that I get up in bad temper, but I must do it at my pace. First, I prepare my mate (you already know about this drink), then I return to bed and put the radio on, so I listen to the news while I drink mate and eat some biscuit or sandwich. Once done this, I make some gym at my bedroom, I lay the bed and then go to have a shower. All of this can take me about one hour and a half or two hours.

I never used to be a morning person when I was younger, I literally had to drag myself out of bed and would feel sleepy until lunch time.
These days I am more of a morning person, I can get things done more in a morning rather than after lunch or in the evening's. It seems once I have lunch, that's it for me I feel tired all the rest of the day. It sucks.

Glad you were able to convert over to the morning person list. Usually mornings your mind is fresh and not as occupied as it is in the afternoon.

I can be a morning person if I have to be, when I worked I had no problem getting going in the morning, but now that I dont work I find it a little harder to get going I need at least 1 cup of coffee to be civil and to get my eyes focused. I believe I do my best work in the morning and run out of steam in the afternoon.

I hear ya. The afternoons can be taxing. But, due to the nature of the work I do, I need to rev up ..so I pull out the extra caffeine:)

I am a morning person...and walk around singing driving everyone else nuts. I think I can do my best work in the morning too...it's early afternoon that I need a refreshing nap to help me adjust my thinking from being foggy to bright again. My belief is that if you wake up in the morning....you have it made.....it's when you don't wake up that you are in trouble! LOL

You got that right. If you don't wake up in the morning you have lost a half a day; and in my opinion, just like yours, the best half a day:)

I like my quiet and solitude when I can get it; but when it's time to work that must take second place; since my work involves talking to people quite a bit..

I am a morning person for sure. By late afternoon, I feel like a different person. I have to be a morning person because of my work and school schedule. I wish that I could be more of a night person so I could spend more time with my family. Their schedules are so different than mine.

I understand that. Like you by time evening falls, my eyes are beginning to get heavy with sleep and my hands are telling me it's time to rest from the keyboard.
