shawshank redemption

It is one of my favorite movies of all time. The acting is good, the story is good and the ending is even better!

I have seen this movie a few times and I have liked it each time. I think I like the story line because it is unexpected and the ending is a surprise. I also like the actors who are in the movie. I agree that it is a great all around movie and yet I never think of it when someone asks me about movies that I like.

I've just bought a dvd copy of Shawshank Redemption because I've heard that it is really good and also it is written by Stephen King and I love his writing! I was able to watch it yesterday and it is really wonderful, it even made me cry =) It's a good movie to watch so for those who haven't seen it please do =)

Yep i bought shawshank a few months ago, I have watched it many time in the past though. I still retain that this is one of the best movies ever made. Great acting and a real inside eye into prison life, through all it's ups and downs. The perseverance of a man to escape and the magical plot to achieve this and fool all the authorities. Bloody Fantastic... 5 Star

Hi ... stupid me.. I started the same discussion.. I love shawshank redemption.. I love it because of the simplicity and that twist at the end.. it did not drop a single clue along the way ... it's one of the movies I have watched countless of times..

I'm also a fan of that movie and have watched it many times already. The story not only deals with pain and suffering but also shows a way out ... that there is always hope no matter how despairing circumstances are. It is a great movie with a feel-good ending. And I like happy endings :)

The movie gives a feel of prison life and the way people get "institutionalised" ! The story is brilliant. The screenplay is too good along with the narration. The actor-character match was good. The dialogues are so expressive. A must watch movie!
