How often do you go through your friends list?

I've noticed that a lot of us have at least over 300 friends and I don't know about anyone else but I'm lucky to get 40 responses to a discussion and that's on a good day! For the second time this month I went through my list today deleting a lot of the people on my list. It seems like most of those I deleted were here for a shorter length of time making me think they didn't give it much time and wanted to earn a lot of money very fast and when they didn't they just don't bother any more. I did run across one who actually put in her profile that she was going to be on another site and just drop in here now and then. I thought that was a cool thing for her to do don't you? My only problem is that I wish mylot would come up with an easier way for us to do this. It gets to be a pain clicking on the profile and finding when they last logged on. I got so bored doing it after about 6 pages. Now I have to go back and try to remember where I left off to go through another couple of hundred. I can't see keeping all of those people on my list if they aren't active any more! Do you have hundreds of people on your friends list? Do you know who is active and who isn't? Do you bother to go through the list and delete the unactive members?

I've kept my friend list under 200 because about every two weeks I go and delete those who have been gone for a month or more. Rarely, do those people come back. There are a couple of friends I give two months to, but otherwise I delete them. I want to be able to see who I should put my efforts into responding. I have all my friend's notifications on, and you're right, a person is lucky if they get many responses. I also have that same friend who posts they won't be on here much. I don't know the point of keeping her though. She doesn't post nor does she respond to posts. I think maybe she is active here to just get referrals to other sites. It doesn't bother me. I just wish the active people on my friend's list would drop by my discussion every now and again. Because if I can answer theirs, I will. And most of them are very easy to answer. But it doesn't bother me to delete the ones who are not active here anymore. I just try to keep focus on on the fun of mylot, because when I'm focused on the right reasons to be here, it IS fun. : )

Yes, it is tiresome to have to go through your list and delete some of the friends who seem to have become inactive, ctry. I do it every now and then-whenever I am adding someone or sending a PM. It would be nice if they would let us know they are leaving and request to be deleted from our lists.

I just deleted friends that haven't been logged on for at least 2 months. It took some time but it was worth it because now I have a smaller list and it is the people I know want to be here.

I have a few hundred on my list too and last week deleted a few that have not been active for months. I got tired of it and stopped. I know I need to clean more out but I need to be in the mood to do that LOL.

I'm glad you started this discussion because I always forget to go through my friends list. I know there are people that have not been here for quite some time that I need to delete.:)

I always search for my friends updated post, this will help us to maintain the discussion, but I say, it depends on how interest & good is the discussion, I could say having 40 reply for a day is really great thing.

I need to go thru mine again, as a lot of the people on my friends list, I am sure are no longer Active posters here on myLot, and I get tired of it taking so long as well to find out who is still even active on here as well. The biggest issue I am finding is a lot of the posters who used to be Active on here have chosen to move elsewhere due to this site quit paying like it used too, and they found something else that pays better. But honestly, I may not be here everyday like I used too, but I am still an Active member here, and I am Glad to see others like you who choose to do so too.

I really haven't found any sites expect one who pays anywhere near as well as mylot does. As long as I keep making my monthly payout I'm very content here and will stay.

Sometimes it's hard to respond to every post especially when you have a lot of freinds on your list. I do the best I can.

I have under 200 in fact I think under 150 friends in my list and I do go through and delete the non actives and the ones that I end up not having much in common with etc....In fact I'm due for doing that this week come to think of it....I really see no point in having hundreds in your list to be honest with ya...

You are right. What is the point of having hundreds of friends on our list if we only get 50 responses? I think it's usually the newer members who reply to our discussions anyway.

It is soooo much work to delet them and I hate going through it. Maybe one of yours is the reason you were regretfully banned from the site. I still say that stinks!

Good for you! I believe what goes around comes around and they too will suffer in some way eventually. It's just not right and I hate to see it happen.

I am so behind on answering discussions, I hope you don't give up on me. I do check mine every now and again to see if my notifiers are on or off. I have been wondering about some of my friends though, if they are not active anymore or what. I supposed it would be a good idea to go through and randomly check once in awhile to see if the person is active here on mylot at all. I know sometimes life gets in the way, some weeks I can spend a lot more time than others on here. Some weeks I am just too busy to even checkin much. But I love it here on mylot.

well, i rarely see my friends list in mylot.. When i first joined mylot, i used to often view my friends' list to see how many friends i have got.. but then the habit of counting my friends gradually reduced, as soon as i started getting so many friends.. But then i rarely view my friend's list get help from someone regarding mylot or to find out if there is anyone from my country or state... :-)

I may not respond to all your discussions, either because I have no experience or input on the topic or sometimes which seems lately I haven't responded to many at all. But I do try to get my friends discussions before moving on to top discussions or something like that. As for my list of friends I haven't really gone through it. I probably should as most are under 1000 and I think either gave up or reached cashout once and left. There are probably only about 40 names that I actually recognize and people I see all the time.

There are many discussions that my friends make that I can't or won't respond to for one reason or another. I just notice if a friend hasn't been active for over 2 weeks and haven't responded to one of my discussions in a month. That's when I delete them.

It is indeed an eye opener. I too have lot of friends on other networking sites . Not all of them are active. This reduces your range to grow faster. The team growth gives one a new ideas etc. ,. Besides, where the social sites paying for viewing etc . one's incomes gets handicapped with less view and that a lot of money

I know I have quite a few friends who are not active on myLot but I don't bother about deleting their profiles from my friend list. I also know that all my friends do not reply to all my discussion...but I can make out how many are active. I really don't bother about that aspect but I agree that myLot should make it easier.
30 Oct 07
I guess I really should go through my friends list as I am sure there are many on there who are either no longer active or simply not bothering to respond anymore. I seldom get more than around 20-30 responses on discussions these days, and I only wish I could devote more time here.

I've never gone through my friends list because I'm hoping some will return and respond once again. You'll never know. I don't have that many as a lot of people do and that's ok but I'll keep what I have for now then make a decision later on.

I go through my list randomly and make sure that only people that are active and such are in the list.
