Why?

Does it ever make you wonder why people reel off discussions that consist simply of one question. It rather annoys me, it's as though all they want to do is come on, reel off a load of discussions, earn their money and then run off again! Is it wrong of me to be annoyed by this? Admittedly, I joined this site to earn money, but I found that is seriously addictive and I love the people that I have come to be friends with! But is it really necessary to use up discussion space with wasted one liners? Look through the "Discussions with no responses" and it's full of them. I spend time going through this section, ensuring that I answer at least two of these discussions to make sure these people don't feel left out but I just get annoyed when it's full of rubbish! Grumble grumble! Enough of my moaning, I hope everyone is having a lovely day. Please don't be offended by my huffing and puffing, I'm just having a bad day lol!

I don't really wonder. I know that it's because they just want money. The problem is that mylot won't reveal the secrets to how to make money on the site. So people just think if they post 30 discussions a day they assum ethey'll make a ton of money. When in reality they really won't make much of anything especially when these discssuions aren't deleted. I actually don't even respond to many one liners because I always hope they'll learn that no one will.

Well, I like to respond to discussions with no responses simply because I'd hate it if nobody responded to mine, but when you look down the list and there's about twenty from the same person with one word starters, god does it make my blood boil. Especially when there are decent discussions out there that aren't getting a look in! I'll shall remember in future to not respond! Huff and puff!!!

I think there are plenty of worthy discussions with no responses that are better to answer.

Why being a word in the english vocabulary... you find that the dictionary itself has a number of meanings... basically its the way we interpret the word in the given sentence at the particular place, time, for wht we interpret and repeating itself with reason... does anyone get me here.... when we take it as a question... alone or along with other words... it always has a different answer... depending on the topic of discussion or argument or expectation... etc... the best answer which is my personal fav. is "WHY NOT?" It has a snese of reciprocation... reason and expectation...

The practice of posting for the sake of raising points is something that has been going on since the beginning of MyLot. I try to check out mainly my friend's posts. But, I do check out the discussions that others make too. I tire of the one liners and the people who post one or two words as a response. If I am unable to find more than a word or two to post as a response, I leave it blank and go on to another discussion. I am not offended by your huffing and puffing. We all do it at one time or another. Welcome to Mylot!

I'm glad you're not offended. I sometimes go into this little world of mine where all I do is moan and groan at everything. I love doing it in here, I get such a wide range of responses, sometimes it just makes me laugh! Thank for responding to my huff and puff! Lol!

It annoys the crap out of me..Go and have a look at the discussions with no responses, one person has done that exact thing, I lost count after 20...I dont know how on earth they can keep up with the responses if they get any..Obviously they dont care what they are talking about they are just rambling off as much discussions as possible...LOL if that made any sense...

It made sense to me! These people obviously are under the illusion that they can earn serious money per discussion started. If it carries on, I may have to say something! There is one person in particular - you know who you are! STOP DOING IT! YOU WILL NOT EARN ANY MONEY! Anyway, that's enough of my shouting! Lol!

I have come across some of these one-liners, or topics where the initiator pens very little to stimulate discussions. I just ignore those that are uninteresting, meaningless (at times nonsensical) and those where I know nuts about the subject to be able to share anything constructive. I reckon there will be some people who will just start something for the sake of earning money and nothing more. I try not to get annoyed at some of these ill-conceived discussion threads, because I also understand that not everyone can write or express themselves well, especially if they are from third world countries or their first language is not English. Those who can't will naturally write less, write in poorer English or choose to be less expressive, and that's also where we end up with some of those discussions which get no or poor response.

/targets MissBerLee /comfort /console I know its not much but I want you to feel better. Now onto your topic. You think what you described is bad? Just keep on here longer. You'll see some one-liner discussions end up with a couple dozen or more responses. You'll also have trouble finding good discussions among the new. Its been very annoying. One thing you could do, is make friends or with or follow those that start much better discussions or at least have some quality responses. That way at least you know a few areas where some good discussions are. You can also use the top discussions, but as of late some of those have been the same 1,2,3 line discussions that don't require much to respond and don't really stimulate. Just keep trying Missberlee. You'll find a niche sooner or later. Be sure to check out other people's interests too because some better discussions are filed under those.
