What is your reading attitude?

I use to read books while i'm waited to fall asleep but as they say reading books is good but it needs a right place where your can read it thoroughly at the right light and angle positioning .Do you believe it!.. that reading books it needs to have enough lights and not in the walking or in a car while traveling? Is it true? Or you might encounter some dizy.

I need light when I read. I am at the age where if the text is not dark enough or it is too small, I need reading glasses. If I am walking, well there is the danger that I will get so engrossed that I will bump into something, and reading in the car is all right, but I would be distracted by what is going on. That is the problem. Also I used to get car sick, not that much any more, and I do not want it to happen again.
So I prefer to read sitting down where there is lots of light for obvious reasons.

Yes, I agree that reading properly is good for each and everyone, especially at your age. However, when reading, you must have sufficient amount of light so you can read it clearly and the eyes will not get strain.

I only read whenever I have time, mostly before sleeping and at bed. This is the time where I can concentrate totally to what I'm reading, since I don't like being disturbed.
After an hour of reading, I'll then be ready to doze off and take a good night sleep.

Yes i totally agree that kind of reading attitude ,you have the right time and space where you can concentrate most and fucos on what you have read while waiting to fall asleep..

I am 58 years old and I wear glasses due to an astigmatism. But I read in the car sometimes, and mostly I read lying in bed but I do have a good light and lots of pillow props. It is relaxing and when I start to feel sleepy I mark the book place, shut off the light and fall asleep quickly. I have never read while walking. I do not get vertigo or nausea when I read while riding in a car. I don't read as much as I used to while riding in a car though because there is too much to see and talk about.

Yes at your age you have a good reading habit even though you have an astigmatism .i agree that you have a strong
discipline on reading habits. keep it up and more power..

My brother once caught me reading during dawn. He said that if I keep doing that then my eyesight will become blurred. I really don't know if that's true but I refrain from doing it ever since.

Your brother is right, i agree with him. But there are some circumstances that we could not refrain from reading, especially when you are in the mid of suspense. But yes, you are the one who can discipline your reading habit.

I always read books, anytime and anywhere. But, i don't read while riding in a car and while walking. It's bad for your eyes. It's really proven i guess. Also, avoid reading while lying down. Super bright light will also hurt your eye. Just some tips from me! =)

Yes its true that reading while riding a car its bad for your eyes i agree to that but sometimes its hard to stop reading probably when you are already in the most interesting line. but yes its all!!.. will depend on your reading descipline... thanks.. and enjoy reading.....

I am not fond of reading books even when I was a kid and up to the point that I am a student already. But I love surfing the net and just find things that will caught my interest. I read and research weird kinds of things and I enjoy it that much.
