Leggings are back

I agree with you on the flare pants. I can't see how they make ANYONE look better. YUCK! Give me skinny leg pants anyday. They are walkable in! (I hate when they get all twisted around my ankle.) My daughter has several pair of leggings. Granted, she's 6, and doesn't know "style" yet, but she does like her, um, she calls them "tights." She wears them with skirts, like your daughter, and looks really cute. We even put her hair up in the "Valley Girl" pony tails. (teased and off center) I don't think I could get my fat @$$ into leggings again without causing a fashion foe-pah. (yes, I know that's spelled wrong) but I love my skinny jeans, and I can tolerate the boot cuts. I'm not trading these in for anything. No matter WHAT Opera says.

Ha,ha, you now know how I felt when the bell bottoms came out and my girls wanted them.. So, they are back? Oh well, maybe in another generation the bell bottoms will be back in again. Of course I would have to disagree with preferring the leggings over the bell bottoms, but that is probably because of the generation I grew up in..:) It would be interesting to see what people my age,*coughover40cough* would say about this..:)

Its becasue now days RETRO STYLES are back..in fashion. People are really getting into the fashion of 60's and 80's ...!! I like to get dressed up like an old heroine...lol Well not always only sometimes for change. But generaly I like retro style very fascinating and glamourous..!! I usualy wear them to my college. I like big big hairstyles and ponytales. Old fashioned skirts and yes leggings too. Its very fashionable. But one thing, Not every one can handle retro style that easily us some people can...!! It really needs great amount of attitude..!! I belive I have one..!! :D SO one thing more.... Keep it stylish!! :)

i like leggings because since i have really bad knees and live in canada, they keep my knees warm during our cold winters! they can still be bought at dance outfitting stores.

I think that some of the clothing styles that have come back from the 80's work. LIke the leggings thing is totally fine, so long as you're under the age of 16. Otherwise you look stupid. Anyway. It does seem weird. What I'm amazed by is when someone doesn't know something I grew up with. I'm just like WhAT? and then I realize they're only like 17 and that's a world of difference amazingly!

Hello there! I bought a pair of leggings today to go with my new long jumper dress. OH MY GOD! I looked utterly ridiculous and gave them to my much skinnier downstairs neighbour. I'm not a hugely overweight girl, just a little chunky, and I think leggings only really look good if you have the figure of a supermodel. I'm telling you, it was the biggest waste of 6 euros! Never again, unless I manage to slim down to a size 0 overnight!!!

Yeah, I had the leggings, and leg warmers. Of course I've given all that stuff away. Every old is new again.

Oh, I remember leggings and straightlegged pants. Now you couldn't get me into either for any thing! haha. Fashions pass, thank god, but they also come back around... Remember the Punky Brewster days? ahahahhaaha Too funny.

I have seen other girls wearing leggings again, it seem a lot of todays youth are just adapting styles and trends from our time, instead of comming up with new ones.

omg i saw that those leggins were back,its so cool how all that great stuff comes back again.i loved them and i will still wear them.i dont care how silly i would look,as long as i liked them who cares if no body else did lol.have a great halloween.pattie

I know!Hahaha!I saw it on t.v last night and wondered "WHY??".I use to wear them all the time,every color you could imagine,hehe.I dont feel old,i go with the flow and even try to blend in with the "mode"myself haha.I dont think id be wearing leggings anytime soon thoug,i might have to pass on that one.They remind me too much of Jane Fonda,haha.
