While anwering the responses on another od my discussions I realized I still had more to say on this topic...
I will tell you a story..
My great aunt had this lovely old house that I loved dearly.
I would beg and plead to go stay with Aunt Della as often as I was allowed..I wasn't alone..everyone loved to be at Aunt Della's..
As a child I thought her house was the most beautiful house in the world...in reality it was rundown with uneaven floors and creaky stairs.peeling paint ..a couple of taped up windows. As you aproached this old house you felt drawn in despite the exterior....But my point is what I and everyone else loved so much about this old house was what was inside..it was full of love and great smells of spices and baking..The whole house was just delicious...When you went there you were so safe!
I know alot of people like Aunt Della's house...They are over weight or wrinkled or sagging but on the inside they are warm and make me feel safe..Then I know people that look so good they just stepped out of Vogue...but on the inside they are mean..nasty..cold..people that make me uncomfortable! I used to think I was intimidated by their perfectness but now I know I was repelled by their unhappy insides..Not all are mean..ofcourse!
Point is your body is just the house you live in while you are here..If the inside is warm it will surely shine all the way out...Be happy...love yourself..be healthy..the rest will shine through!

I agree with you, the important thing here is who you are, who is the person inside the body... I used to think that big persons were happier, but there is a lot of people that are so wprried about how they look that they do no enjoy life... In my case I am not skinny at all, I will say I am more in the other side... but that is not a issue for me, I know that whoever will love me will do it for who I am, and will love me exactly the way I am... If not... well that person do not really love me...
anyway... this a really good post! I love it!

You have painted a lovely word picture, my friend. I hope to be a warm and comfortable person, that people will beg to stay with, and will feel safe around. I think that is part of why I take the jobs I take. I want to be Aunt Della, or the Mom, who makes every holiday happen. I think you are teaching us some great insights.

Your discussion reminds me of the movie Shallow Hal. I think it's important to get to know ppl on the inside rather than what's on the outside. Most ppl judge a person by what they see and not by how the person really is.

As long as you're happy with the body you have, then you're ok. But if you're not, then it times to change all of that and make sure it is a body you are happy with to accept. Its better to be around people who have a sparkling personality than a mean one, no matter how good or bad they look. Being positive is the key to happiness, my love. That's how I always see it! Just my two cents, if it's any worth!

Be happy and be healthy my friend. Do not worry about the opinions of others, you are fine. Thank you for sharing the metaphoric, but apt, discussion.
I'll borrow a line from one of my mylotter friends and fans.

You are right sis , My favourite and was wee and cuddly like me , and when she laughed he face shone , her eyes twinkled and her wee body all shook with laughter , I am wee and cuddly as you know and my grandkids love cuddles , even the girld who are 18 and 13 still love their cuddles , when I say I am on AOTHER diet they get annoyed and say " you would not be our Nanny if you were skinny" not much chance of that lol , but basically what they are saying is they love me just as I am , I love you too xxxx

That's true, raydene!
My mother-in-law is also a bit overweight but she's a WONDERFUL person. Whenever we visit her, she'd cook for us and she'd give us leftover. Even though she can't speak English much and I can't speak Finnish well yet (I'm an Indonesian and she's a Finnish woman), she's welcomed me SO warmly ever since day one. I'm SO grateful to have such a caring mother-in-law. Nowadays 'coz I've started my Finnish lessons, she's started talking to me in Finnish. She takes out her pocket English dictionary to help her find English words if I don't understand the Finnish ones...I LOVE her!!! She makes me feel that she's my new mother! ;-D
