Do you rent or own your home?

Do you rent the home you live in or are you buying it? Why did you choose to rent or buy? Are you happy with your decision?
Me, I rent, I do it because I don't have the money/credit to buy my own home. I am torn on being happy about it. Partly I like it because if anything breaks its on somebody else's tab and my yard gets taken care of. On the other hand, I get bossed around like I'm 12 when my landlord is in a bad mood....lol. I would like to have something that was completely mine so I could do whatever I wanted to it also.

I am in the same boat, no money for a down payment, barely enough money for rent. Its hard, and I'm a single mother too.

i used to rent an apartment when i was still single, but when i gave birth to my twins we transferred to my parents house because we couldn't afford yet to buy our own and barely spend for rent.but in the near future i want to purchase or build my very own house.

I own my own home. I can't see throwing money away on rent when you can be using that same money to build equity in your own home. And I don't know your financial situation or the housing market where you live, but are you really sure you can't buy a house? Have you spiken with a loan officer? You might be surprised!

my father made a house back in the late 80s... and we have living in it since then...its a nice house...we love it...and i woudnt ever sell it....
