I have found the most wonderful socks in the world!!
As most of my friends here know, I have Diabetes and one of the main problems is that from my knees down stay ice cold, especially my feet. I can wear socks but when my feet swell the socks cut into my feet.
These socks are lightweight (meaning they let your feet breathe), they are comfortable and most of all they stretch when my feet swell. The price is great considering how good they are...about $2.00 a pair. They come in a wide variety of colors and can be thrown in the laundry just like regular socks. They will replace slippers for me too.
I bought one pair yesterday just to see if I'd like them and today I am going back to get a couple more pairs.
If you haven't tried them, you really should. They are going to be a regular part of my clothes from here on out.
So, have you ever tried them or do you think you will?

I have a pair I got from JCPenney's on sale two years ago. My mom bought a similar kind from Walmart, but hers didn't last long. Mine are like a blessing from above. I don't have diabetes, and I'm sure I have not even close to the problem with my feet as you, but they sure come in handy when I need them. And I recommend them to anyone since winter is coming around. Even at JCPenney's, mine were only three dollars on sale from five dollars.

Well, I'm not terribly tough on clothes so mine should last awhile.
We don't have a JCPenney near us but I believe Walmart carries them. I got these at Country Mart.

Look at the post right above yours and all the information is there. Also if you don't have a store near you...Amazon sells them but they are quite a bit more there. Almost everywhere has a Walmart.
I hope they help you out.

I have tried those socks and i do wear them around the house, and they are really comfortable...I am very happy you have found something that feels comfortable to you.I do not have diabetes but my husband does and i know that it is so great to find something that will make you feel better.I feel so bad for my hubby and for anyone who suffers from diabetes, its a very hard disease to live with, you always have to be on guard for every little thing, bless your heart ,i know my hubby has a hard time...We went 2 days ago and got him his first pair of diabetic shoes, they are made by brroks, and the only stores that sell those shoes are Masons shoes, however we got a perscription from his doctor for them, hes on medicare so we had to pay like 55.00 and medicare paid the rest but it was worth it.he feels very comfortable in his new shoes. They will give you 3 pair of inserts to wear, changing them like once a month, they ask you to rotate them..have you gotten a pair yet? if not you should try them, hubby said they feel good to his feet..I do know though that they do sell "Brooks shoes at Mason shoes...Im happy you found something you enjoy....

I have 3 pairs of those socks. I love to wear them walking around the house in the winter. They're so soft and warm and from very comfortable. I got them from my son's parents for Christmas last year. I can't wear them in shoes, except for my snowboots. Although I have been known to just throw my "working outside" sandals on over them to take the trash out or hang clothes on the clothes line. You're right, they're VERY stretchy. I can definitely see how they'd be a good buy for someone whose feet swell like that.

I am planning to buy some more. I am so happy that I found them. I don't wear them outside but around the house they work great...in fact, they are replacing my slippers too, that I can't wear anymore b/c of swelling.

I also have issues with cold feet. Last winter I bought a few pairs of wool socks to see if that would help. It did once my feet warmed up......lol Have worn them so much that now they have holes on the ball of one foot. Might have to buy more. What brand did you buy and from where? I'd like to try them. Thanks!

You are right about them being comfy and cozy. I am not diabetic but I bought a few pair of them at a Lady Foot Locker Store because I had a gift certificate and a few dollars left over. Please let me caution you to NOT wear them without shoes or slippers though. I had on my pretty purple ones just two days ago and slipped all over creation on my kitchen floor. You can also go to Walmart and get a couple pair of the slippers they have hanging near the socks. They have little "nubbies" on the soles that keep them from slipping and (I don't know how this is possible) also keep them from picking up a lot of dirt too! They are about $4.00 or $5.00 but you can wear them with safety. ~Donna

It is so hard to find a sock that fits right and is comfortable. I am glad you found a pair. I have been looking myself. My ankle swells the more I walk on it and I have problems with the top of the socks cutting into my ankle when it swells durring the day. I like to walk around the house in bare feet. When winter comes I get those little scuffy shoes with no backs just a front.
I am going to keep looking and I hope I get as lucky as you. I would love to have comfortable socks. I have used hanes, fruit of the loom and store brands as well with no luck. I am glad that you did though.

good on for you I have seen the socks for diabetics and usually they are very expensive like $9.00 a pair so i would stock up on them what is the worst that could happen you are cured of diabetes, that would be lovely thought much not much of a chance in that happening, Yes I am so please to see that you are taking good care of your feet, as a lot of diabetics do not and end up loosing them good for you and please take care.Robin

They look so soft. Do you know if they have them in pink? Not that dark fushia pink, but pale baby pink? I love that color. I have never seen these socks before, but I am sure that I can find them online. If they have them in that soft baby pink, I would buy them. I try to wear only pink these days. It makes me happy. :)

I think it's great that you found these socks which will be a great asset considering your condition, twoey. Diabetes is very prominent in my family and I know how careful diabetics have to be regarding their feet. That's also a great price for something that will prove to be so helpful to you.

We have several ppl in our family too that have diabetes and with mine the coldness in my lower legs and feet has been probably the worse part so far. They get so cold they ache. These socks keep them toasty warm but let them breathe.

I was just thinking about stopping at the store and getting some like these last night, but I didn't, but I will. I have had a pair like them before and they are so comfy. But my oldest daughter got the pair that I had.

Hey, did I miss something here? Is there a name brand or something like a manufacturer I could look for. I am getting passionate about socks lately. I bought a bunch of lightweight, low cut ones to wear for late summer and fall. They even went pretty well with some of my sandals. I bought them at WalMart. We do not have a Country Mart here, at least not that I have ever heard of. I could drive thirty miles and go to a Penney's store. JC Penney always seems to have really high quality things. I am leary about the things I get at Dollar General, some of them are great, and others not so. I will have to start looking, as it is getting to be cool weather here. I have to take care of my feet because I am on them so much. No, diabetes, and the last I was checked not even pre diabetic, but I want to be careful with my feet anyway. I love comfort.

I have a pair of those socks that I got as a gift. I don't like to wear them though unless I am really cold. I don't know why but I just don't care too much for them.
Though I see why you do love them so much :)

Hi twoey, this is the only kind of sock that i wear.Ive been wearing them for a year now, even in the summer on a cool night.I just bought some new ones last saturday because the others are getting worn out.I think i have every color and pattern theyve come out with ,hahahaha. The only problem since i bought them along time ago is finding some that fit my daughter, she takes a size 9 in socks for children(shes 4 1/2),she wants a pair so bad and even puts mine on in the house to keep her little feet warm and loves the feeling of the soft texture.Be careful which ones you buy because some fall apart easily,i like the "bum" brand ones, they dont stretch too long after wearing them for a couple of hours and dont wear out easily.
Peanutjar:)
