He's FINE though! The 2 1/2 year old stayed at his aunt's house for the day and she was on her way back here and hit a deer really bad. Her vehicle isn't driveable but everyone is alright which is all that matters.
It was just a little scary for a minute because she was calling on her cell and service out here is spotty. S/o's dad is the one that answered the phone but I could hear her yelling and I couldn't tell if she was yelling because it was bad or just to make sure he could hear her.
I know I'll be giving the little guy an extra hug when they do finally get here tonight!

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry! I hope I never find out what you must have gone through.
I remember years ago when my ex-hubby and I were dating, we ALMOST hit a child right in front of the child's mother. It was like something right out of a child's safety lesson...never chase a ball into the street! Well the kid did and right in front of us, we just barely got stopped. That was scary enough for me!

Aww I'm sorry...I was just still a little on edge at the time. It didn't seem AS serious once I'd calmed down a little....but you know how it is to be a worried mom!

Sorry to hear about your son..Hope everything is alright.. Deer accidents are very popular and now because deer season is in play I suppose there are more hazards..

This is the time of year when we say "the deer are on the run". They are simultaneously avoiding the popular hunting spots while also looking for good plaes to spend the winter.

Glad to hear that nothing bad has happened and that everybody is safe. That's what counts. You must be missing your son very badly. Yes, he really needs to be loved and pampered. Take care of your son and all. God bless.

Aww the poor little guy!...well big guy, my 9 year old gets all red when I say he's my little boy lol.
The little one got tons of big hugs last night and he didn't even seem the least bit bothered by what happened.

They can do a surprising amount of damage considering their size...and I have way too much experience with this!
My first car...$1150
My ex-hubby's truck...$3500
My old van...$800
Plus several other bumps that broke grills and headlights....and we've actally been lucky. I've heard of people hitting deer in such a way that the front end gets smashed but then the deer either goes under the vehicle and rips off the exhaust and stuff under there or the deer goes up over the hood and smashes into the windshield and then over the roof.

Oh Hun! Im glad hes ok. That can be a scary experiance. We one hit a deer and my son flew out of his car seat and hit the dash! He was ok just shooken up. That deer caused 400$ woth of damage to the drivers side of the van. We hit it so hard that there was no hair or anything...just poop on the door!! LOL. We scared the poop out of him!! HAHAHA!! Im so glad everyone was alright and give that little man a squeeze for me!

Oh my goodness...I guess we take fir granted that those car seats will work but nothing's foolproof.
I hit a deer once and my window was down. I didn't think much of it until a little bit later when I looked at my shirt and realized I had blood and bits of skin splattered all over me...there may have been other stuff too but I took it off real fast without looking too closely.

Foxy I am so sorry to hear about that! I am very happy to know that your son and sister are doing fine and not hurt. A car can be replaced, not a life. Thank goodness! Yes, I don't blame you for wanting to give your little guy an extra big hug when he gets home!

I always knew he'd be the one getting into all sorts of scrapes, I just wasn't expecting him to start so soon! I'm glad I sent him off with the good car seat today!

Man o, another accident. I'm really glad all are fine though (minus the deer, poor thing).
Things like this happen, but at least your son and family is okay.
