Looking through the list of available free movies on my cable this morning I came across Fiddler On The Roof one of my favorite musicals. I figured since I intend to be sitting here for awhile and not focusing on what's on tv I will enjoy the music. I know the whole story inside and out and all of the songs. Do you enjoy watching movies that have a lot of music in them? Do you have any favorites?

Little Shop of Horrors! Best movie Evar! The musical version. The orignal version is pretty good too but I really love the musical. Sound of music is good too and of course Grease. I can't get into a lot of musicals though, like Chicago and Rent. I dunno. They just don't do much for me. A Chorus Line is a pretty good one too.

Oh yes, I love musicals. The classics, such as My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music and Singing in the Rain, are some of my favorites. I have never seen Fiddler on the Roof. I don't really know why. Perhaps I will have to check it out. PEACE

I love musicals. I love to sing along with them. I have a ton of favorites. I like The Wizard of Oz, Cabaret, Moulin Rouge, Chicago, Singing in the Rain and all the Disney musicals too. They just make you feel so happy when they sing and it plays into the storyline.

I didn't think of all the Disney movies that are musicals. I guess I have seen and enjoyed many. My favorite is The Beauty and the Beast. I absolutely love the soundtrack to this movie because it tells the whole story from beginning to end.

I have never really watched musicals, but I keep thinking I should give them a try. I enjoy going to plays that are musicals, but I've never seen a movie one. Maybe I'll put Grease on my Blockbuster queue just to give it a try.

I just love musicals, ctry! I guess it is a holdover from the years I spent watching so many of them when I was growing up. I especially like the movies with Gene Kelly dancing up a storm. I enjoyed the movie "Chicago" so much that I bought it. I also liked "Cats," and wish I could see it in the near future.

I used to go to them when I was in the city but now there isn't any near here. I have seen many of them but I think that I favorite was when my sister and I went to go to the premiere of Miss Saigon in Toronto. We had third row and it was so amazing.

I love musicals. My favorites are: Sound of Music; Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Was Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang a Musical? It's been a long time since I saw it. The family that Sound of Music is about is in Stowe, Vermont. We get reports about the Von Trap Family Lodge quite often on the 6 O'clock news. It's really neat. I've always wanted to go there. Take care and fun topic!

Hello there, I have always loved music, but I've never really thought it works too well in movies. Only when the film is based around the music have I appreciated it, in some films the musical interludes "get in the way" of the story! Opera or Operetta's is different, mostly the music comes first. Not sure if I make myself clear here, but I enjoy music and songs, enjoy films, just don't think they go too well together, it can appear artificial. You mention Fiddler on the Roof though, that was a good one in my view. Not the sort of film made these days. Regards, Mark.

I enjoy musicals although I haven't seen one in a long time. I used to even participate in musicals, usually in the chorus. That was when I was a teenager & early twenties.

Oh, I love musicals. But my hubby will not watch anything like that with me. I used to watch them with my daughter, who grew up to be a music major, she teaches it now. But I just love Hello Dolly, Sound of Music, Meet Me in St. Louis. Musicals are so entertaining. I am not a Madonna fan, but she was excellent in Evita with Antonio Banderas. Did you see that one? Excellent musical.
