FedEx Package Finally Arrived

I was sitting here doing my usual myLot routine when Buster my beagle started to howl loudly. Then I heard ythe knock at the door. It was the FrdEx truck with the package my wife and I have been waiting all weekend for. As some know I started a discussion awhile back about my wife being a possible bonwe marrow donor as her brother has sever leukemia. Well she goes in to get a sample drawn tomorrow then it will be shiopped to the University Of Michigan Pathology. We are hoping that she is a match as the other sibling her sister is too old do be a donor and both his sons have been tested and are not a match. Wish us all some good luck to bring her brother back to good health. He has now been hospitalized for over a month with this issue. Thanks in advance all. yeah I even took a photo of the shipping tube and box. HAHAHA! Just me I reckon.

She just had the blood drawn a few minutes ago and it's
been shipped. I almost tok my camera but decided not to.
Now that would have been funny huh?

Yeah it wpuld be nice. This is just another episode of my stress that's been on my plate for a few months. This won't go away until she is a match and the transplant is a success. If she isn't a match then he has to wait till the donor facilty finds a perfect match. So this could be a long thing to have to endure as well as the others I have going on right now. Ugghh! gawd I am glad I am as strong as I am. I don't like mental wards in hospitals too much. HAHAHA! Thanks.

I hope that your wife is a match Grandpa Bob and I laud her for her courage and generousity of heart to help her brother. Your story reminded of one discussion by one mylot member about a sister who refused to donate bonemarrow to her dying brother who has a family and children to care too. She just felt that it would be too painful and such a bother. God bless your wife and your family.

Thanks for the prayers for us all. They're greatly appreciated and needed desperately at this point. I want to be known now as Grandpa Stress. HAHAHAHA! nahhh! The blood sample has been drawn and is on
it's way to be typed for a match. We are hoping.

A bird flies by and Buster gets whacko with his barking and howling. HAHAHAHA! A leaf falls and he does it also. He is too funny at times actually. I love him though, he is my buddy. Thanks also. The samples been drawn and shipped in the last 30 minutes time also.

Our little shihtzu Katie usually howls or barks at pretty much anything too! It's funny seeing a tiny little dog that's only 4 1/2 pounds with such a big bark!
Dogs are great buddies, I wouldn't trade her for anything!

I wish good luck to your wife.I hope she can save her brother being for him bone marrow donor.I'm not sure how long can take the blood test but let us know the news.

I hope she is a match. Its sad to see somebody suffer when they can't find anyone in the family that matches. Best wishes and hope he gets well quickly.

We're hoping she is. he is not in great shape. They do give
him a one day pass to go out of the hospital with visitors
but he is so weak he won't leave for a few hours. Thanks also.

The University of Michigan has a wonderful hospital. They took very good care of my dad when he was ill. I am wishing your family all of the luck that is possible and keeping you all in my prayers.
Sounds like a need a *Buster* here. I never hear the deliverymen. LOL

I am from Michigan originally and lived in Ypsilanti at one time which is very near to the Uof M. I was in the office and didn't hear the door. At first I yelled at him to leave the dogs alone. He sees other dogs being walked by and howls like crazy.

That must me stressful Grandpa Bob to imagine if your brother-in-law will get a donor, let's pray that someone matches him so he can get better. So I guess your wife needs to get the sample and mail it back with the stuff that was sent to you. I didn't even know they did stuff like that through the mail :).

I am thinking of changing my name to Grandpa Stress actually. HAHAHA! I've a lot happening right now that isn't very easy to deal with. But I survive. It's not the mail it's Fed Ex. It was done this morning at 8 a.m. and it's on it's way to be typed for a match. Thanks bunches.

I wish your wife and her brother te best of luck with this! They will both be in my thoughts. You may have answered thios somewhere else but I hit the respond button too soon...how long will it take to find out if she's a match or not? and then how long before the procedure is done?
Our dog Imca barks if a rabbit hops across the driveway so she's not a very reliable doorbell for us...Buster sounds like a very good dog, I always liked Beagles anyway.

As far as I believe it will take a few days till she knows if
she's a perfect match. Then the donor process is same day surgery.
We would have to fly to Michigan at their exspense. But it would
be a 2 day ordeal for us is all I think.

Thanks for the prayers but I am getting so loaded down with prayers. HAHAHA! I guess there's been a LOT going on in my life the past year or so. Stress sucks big time. HAHAHA! Thanks for the prayers also. They are very much needed in my life for me and all other members of my family.

Hi Grandpa Bob,
This is such a wonderful thing your wife is doing, for her brother. Some siblings, or other family members, wouldn't even agree to be tested. I don't understand this, but I know it's (sadly) true. I'm hoping and praying that she'll be a match. Is there anyone else besides your wife, who's yet to be tested?

Grandpa Bob no wonder you had a melt down the other day. You have so much on your plate with all that is going on with your family. I am sending prayers.
