Hi!All
I had a bad toothache last year. You can't imagine that I was very terrible. I didn't feel like eating meals and I could not sleep well at night. At last, I saw the dentist. After she checked my bad tooth, she told me not to draw my bad tooth. I was relieved. I was afraid of pulling a tooth. I couldnot stand the pain from the terrible sound beside the person who was being drawn a tooth. I got an anaesthesia injection before she drilled my tooth. But I still called "ahahah.." because it's really painful. What was worse, the drill head broke. Maybe my tooth was too hard, she changed another drill head and continued drilling my tooth. It took about two hours to fix the bad tooth. And I was still painful for several days. Now I realize the unusual feeling of toothache.

I had my last toothache last month when I was on my holiday at my hometown. It was actually a sign of a great toothache if I did not take any action of it. After 3 days of keeping the initial pain I decided to pull off my tooth. As always, I am afraid of the dentist and still thinking whether want to see them or not. At last I decided to visit a dentist and the doctor agree to pull my tooth. She gave me 3 anesthesia injections,..the first 2 is still 'ok' with me as she put some thing like a syrup with a strawberry flavor on my gum...but the third injection was from the inner side of my gum and I can feel the pain of the injection...but not much. After a few minutes they called me in back and the doctor did some test on my tooth whether the anesthesia is enough for me or not. when she tried to pull the tooth, she called her husband which is another doctor in that clinic too to hold my head as the tooth are very hard and difficult to pull. But that time, I did not feel any pain as the anesthesia is enough for my me. A feel happy as the bad tooth has been pull off, now no more pain....

Hi!
I don't have any insurance for my teeth. I think it's not necessary to pay for it. When I have a toothache, I will go to the dentist. Treating a bad tooth doesn't cost much, but fixing a new tooth cost much.

I have had several bad toothaches however I have never had an experience quite like yours. I just hope that the dentist doesnt have that type of problem often.

Yes i have had tooth aches during my teens as i did not took much care of my teeth and they developed cavities. I wont go to the dentist as i was scared but then finally as pain increased i had to go. He cleaned up the cavity and did a hole by drilling and then finally filled up the hole. I know the kind of pain i had to bear and more importantly the fear of being drilled. I have been taking ample care since then so that i wont need to move to a dentist.

Hi!
Toothache may be relative to the nerve, so it always makes patient not bearable. Some people think pain killer can't solve the problem completely. And people are easily addicted. Is it right?

I had a very bad toothache few months back.
Its after my near fatal road accident.
i lost some part of a tooth and it used to give me tremendous pain.
It kept me awake in most of the nights.
Atlast root canal treatment was done and crown treatment is done.

i was at the dentist much when i was little..my mother took me,to fix a tooth and i also wore denthal-bracelet....but since then,i did have many painfull tooth-ackes and i was too scared to go to a dentist..till one night when i couldnt even breathe from so much pain...not to mention sleep,i couldnt even sit still,i was crying and about to call the emergency..no pill in the world could make me feel better..
i made it till the next day, when i went to the dentist,i had an infection and he treated my tooth for about 2 or 3 weeks and then he covered it with some matherial, like a fake tooth, and now it feels soooo good not to have any pains
when we r in big pains we realise that all we need is health...it feels great to be healthy,we should cherish this every day

I guess a lot of people have experienced having a toothache at one point in their lives and that includes me. If my memory serves me right, the last time I had my tooth pulled out was about ten years ago. I had put it off for so long because I was then in the middle of my review sessions for the CPA board exam. This review classes last for approximately six months.
But due to the excruciating pain I felt, I finally gave in to having it pulled out. I must admit, I'm afraid to visit a dentist for tooth extraction. If it was only for tooth cleaning, I was okay with that. When the lady dentist finally inserted one of her dental instruments in my mouth, I couldn't help but give out a cry. But my fear proved to be superficial after she was done with my tooth. I was even surprised that I only felt a tolerable pain; that I asked her, "Is it over?" That she replied with a nod. After this incident, my fear of dentists decreased, if not totally vanished.
Now, whenever I feel a toothache; I only take aspirins or pain relievers. It's not because I'm still afraid of dentists, but partially because of lack of funds, and the pain is still tolerable.
