parking lot rage

Have u ever been assualted verbally or physically by an angry stranger??
I was recently verbally harassed by an angry woman at a public parking lot of shopping center.
she accused me of parking too close to her 'regular parking space'. I was already parked when she decided to park her oversized vehicle next to my compact. There is no reserved parking unless u r handicapped. She wasn't.
I really was too shocked to even have any responses to her numerous derogative comments.
All I could do was to ignore her and just walk away from her.
what would u have done in this kind of situation?

Sounds like a follower of the 11th Commandment: Thou shalt be a clownish driver/parker. Something like that.
Well anyways, people like this come up from time to time. Its sick but true. Some people are so selfish and its even worse when they are driving or it involves their cars.
Due to my situation, I'm not even allowed to do anything to a woman. Lopsided fem laws for the lose. -_- So I would have just ignored her. Even though she and people like her need to be brought down a peg and told they are acting like immature little children. Especially since they are rarely or never told this. Sigh...

I think you handled the situation perfectly! The woman sounds as though she is a little off anyway. My goodness Imagine yelling at someone because you imagined that 'your' lot was being cramped by the car beside you. Honestly.
I probably wouldnt have handled it so nicely. Im a bit hotheaded when it comes to idiots and she sounds as though she fits the bill XD I probably would have told her off.
But lets be nice and give her the benefit of the doubt-maybe she was merely having a bad day. :P In anycase, she was silly to assume the parking lot was exclusively hers.

I hate how people who drive those big oversize vehicles just about park on top of regular size (or compact) cars. It's like if you can't park it, don't drive it. Anyway, I think you did the right thing. I am not sure if I would have just walked away. I probably would have told her something along the lines of "Get over yourself". I'm not a confrontational person, but if someone jumps on me, I will defend myself. But I think you were the better person in the situation because you were able to walk away.

I would have just ignored her also. Some people can just be so ignorant. She said like shes one of those people who thinks shes the best driver in the world. Probably thinks her parking jobs are the best ever too.

Good thing you walked away; sounds like she was just trying to stir up trouble.
I have never been in this per say but I did witness a woman yelling profanities out her car window to a driver who just took a spot she thought she should rightly have. It was terrible. The woman had kids with her! Luckily the other woman ignored it but the foul mouthed woman just slowly drove by her still shouting, practically harassing her. She made a complete Axx of herself.
