Tickle Me Elmo-Will you be buying one for Christmas or waiting?

I really want to get my son one but they are SO ridiculously expensive on ebay, and it is hard to find a place to preorder them when they are in. I'll probobly have to wait until after christmas.

I hate it when they come out with a toy that they know everyone will want but then don't keep up with the demand! My son had wanted the first tickle me elmo. I thought they were too expensive so bought him a regular elmo. Poor little guy unwrapped it on Christmas morning and got all excited only to have it do nothing. Now I spend the extra to get what he really wants, even if it means he doesn't get quite as much.

I think I am going to wait although they are cute I think it is AWFUL that a lot of people have taken advantage of these elmo dolls and selling them for a profit when it is for young children. It really is a shame and that is why I am not going to fall prey to this at all!

Deffinatly. It is really sad. I'm not sure if you remember how big the Furbies were, like cabbage patches and tickle me elmo, my mom almost got trampled trying to get one for my sister. Well now they can't give the things away LOL
I can't even Imagine how much the playstation 3 (which is 499-599 depending on the amount of memory you want)will be marked on ebay when it comes out.
